🚨Release Day!!!🚨
My album Listen to the Birds is available everywhere now!!! It has been a really long time coming and I’m so thankful for everyone who helped make it a reality. The album release tour has been nothing short of incredible, there’s really nothing like playing with the same band night after night after night. Here’s to many more!! I love you all @connorpevans @mostlymidcontent @danmontgomeryjazz @choimpet @netatree @dabinryumusic @wawasonstin @endectomorph taken in North Prairie, Wisconsin by @jakerichter13

I had an absolute blast playing at @thejazzgallery for the first ever @endectomorph music festival. We sold out every show and as expected the music from all the bands was insanely inspiring. Thanks to @dabinryumusic @netatree @choimpet and @wawasonstin for playing with me, and I can’t wait to get that band together again for more music. I got some nice video from the gallery livestream which I’ll be uploading in various formats (full songs on YouTube and clips on the gram).
In other news, it’s day 2 in the Midwest for the album release tour and I’m incredibly excited about it. More great music to come with Brandon, @mostlymidcontent and @danmontgomeryjazz - we play at The Vault in Bloomington tonight at 5:30 followed by a clinic/Q&A with @iujazzstudies at 8:00 PM in Merrill hall. That’s all for now 🙏🤓🙏🤓🙏🫡🫡🫡😬🆒🥰🥁😴🧐🚨📸💣🎉🏔️🔥👀🎶🎶🎶 by @jakerichter13

Tour photo dump / sappy post:

The last month has been incredible, overwhelming, and my heart is full. Tour is complete; we played 11 shows all across North Carolina (and one in New York) and I was very very proud of the music we put out. We recorded my next album which will be released some time next year. Most of all I got to spend a lot of time with many of my closest friends (both in the band and the amazing people in my community in New York City). These pics won’t do it all justice but I’m overflowing with gratitude.

Thanks especially to @mostlymidcontent @choimpet and @danmontgomeryjazz for bringing my music to life and for their unmatched camaraderie. Thanks also to @earth_neta @sunthekevin @elianafishbeyn @connorpevans @miguelzenonmusic and @lenardsimpson for their contributions as featured artists on the album. And to @andresabenante at @jaybirdrecording helping us capture it all. I’m very excited to share this music with everybody.

Now for July I’m playing a few gigs here and there, doing some very light teaching, and most of all doing some major R&R 😌 as I prepare for year 2 of my PhD at Duke. by @jakerichter13

Update and announcements 📣!

It has been a big year in North Carolina. I finished the first (of 5) years of my PhD in music composition at Duke, gabby and I got engaged, we bought a house (!!), we got a cat 🐈, I got my deviated septum fixed 👃 I played a lot of good music, and now it’s Summer break! I’m feeling very lucky and grateful 🙏

I’m also very excited to announce my next tour with @choimpet @mostlymidcontent and @danmontgomeryjazz which will run in North Carolina from June 18th-June 29th! This is our fifth tour and it’s always a highlight of my year, so mark your calendars! After the tour we’re going up to New York to record the next album so stay tuned for that as well.

❤️🎺👍👏🎉🥁🫡🔥😎 by @jakerichter13
