Thrilled to be included in the Financial Times, world’s best shirtmakers article.

It’s an honour to be featured alongside old and new, large and independent companies, some of which we truly admire.

Although we would never claim to be the world’s best (we’re far too English for that) our customers and friends often claim this. I would certainly say that we are good at what we do and take great pride in the quality and durability of our products.

Jake’s in Soho!

For those of you that are not already aware we have recently moved our workshop over to Soho.

There’s not many things you can’t get in soho, and that now includes our fine range of handcrafted Shirts.

Nestled right in the the heart of one of London’s most famous areas. You can now find us in the 4th floor of number 2 Archer Street.

How to measure a Shirt with Jake.

Here’s a wee video to help you find your shirt size.

All you need is a tape measure and a shirt you feel fits you well.

Olive Ripstop - Jungle Shirt.

The next in our trio of Ripstop shirts draws inspiration from Jungle jackets of the 60s, but is by no means a like-for-like version, rather a distant cousin. We wanted to create something which combines elements from our other offerings - including the pockets from our Travel Shirt, placket from our Leisure Shirt and hem shape from our Work Shirts - but remains in keeping with the nature of the Ripstop fabric. Traditionally you would’ve seen a lighter ‘poplin’ Ripstop on it’s vintage counterpart, but the midweight version we have chosen to use from Brisbane Moss makes for a really great transitional jacket, whilst still being something you can layer with. taken in Derbyshire by @jakes_ldn

The Wirksworth Button Down Shirt…

Cut in a midweight cotton flannel check from Brisbane Moss. The more eagle eyed among you may recognise this particular fabric from a previous winter campaign some years ago, what can we say, its a favourite round here and we couldn’t help but use it again!

The Ecru Ripstop Popover Shirt…

Sharing a likeness with British pullover work shirts from the 30s and 40s, but reinterpreted in a contemporary Ripstop fabric.

Styled excellently by Alex with some fatigues and his ‘knock about’ moccasin boots, this is exactly how we imagine it to be worn. Best as a top layer on a crisp sunny day it won’t look out of place at the pub, on a dog walk or bumbling about the West End. taken in Derbyshire by @jakes_ldn
