The Art Of Dying - Gojira

This is by far, no question, the hardest thing I’ve ever tackled on drums. I’ve been on and off working on it for probably over a year. There’s some imperfections here; I hit the snare when I was supposed to hit the tom, blah blah blah, but I gave it my best shot before my sticks broke. @marioduplantier and @gojiraofficial are one of my biggest influences and I hope I did this justice (somewhat). #gojira #metal #drums #drummer #thewayofallflesh by @jakeschultz18

Everything Went Black - The Black Dahlia Murder

Such an absolute ripper and classic of a song. It’s been really fun sitting down with this tune the past few days. Really working on those left hand patterns and the constant alternate picking is relentless. #theblackdahliamurder #jackson #metal #guitar #guitarsolo by @jakeschultz18

Stabwound - Necrophagist

I think I will forever be trying to perfect this song, but was pretty happy with this take. I’ll do a full song cover at some point. Hope you dig! #guitar #necrophagist #music #guitarist #musician by @jakeschultz18

Widowmaker - The Black Dahlia Murder

Continuing the rabbit hole of learning TBDM songs. This is one of my favorite solos from Brandon. In my opinion, he’s one of the most underrated players out there right now and easily one of the best. I still have no idea what the hell he’s doing on that tapping section. I know it’s on a 27 fret guitar, and I’ve slowed down and watched his playthrough SO many times, but 🤷🏻‍♂️

Messing around with Ella Baila Sola and the corrido style a lot lately. Absolute right hand burn. This took so many takes. #guitar #acoustic #corridos #mexico #dangelicoguitars by @jakeschultz18

No One Knows - QOTSA

An absolute ripper of a chorus. I feel no matter how many times I play this thing, I always find something I need to fix. Hope you dig! #drums #drummer #queensofthestoneage #davegrohl #qotsa by @jakeschultz18

Is This Love - Whitesnake

Been on a big 80s kick lately. Gotta love the guitar tones and sustain those cats got. Sprinkled in improv on the back half. Hope you dig! #guitar #guitarsolo #whitesnake #music #musician by @jakeschultz18

PHANTOM THREAD -DOMi & JD BECK

I saw JD play this groove on their interview with Rick Beato and knew I had to give this a shot. Been a huge fan of this group for a long time and I’m super stoked to see them in MN in a couple weeks. Hope you dig! #drums #drummer #fusion #jazz #domiandjdbeck by @jakeschultz18
