Have you ever tried waxing a canvas jacket… with a candle? It might sound crazy, but trust us: it works (and it smells really good, too). Plus, it’s the perfect way to reuse that last little bit of wax in your candle before you turn it into a cocktail glass. We’re not saying you should — but we’re also not saying you shouldn’t. Shoutout to our friends @Huckberry for supplying the jacket.

Disclaimer: Wax may be hot. Don’t do this right after blowing out your candle. Using Ranger Station candle wax on your jacket may result in long-lasting pleasant aromas, development of desirable patina and wear patterns over time, and increased attention from singles in your area. Don’t say we didn’t warn ya 😉 by @jakesgarage__

I cannot explain what it feels like to drive an old truck. I immediately feel like I’m stepping back in time. I also feel like I’m 3 steps closer to being a grandpa, and grandpas are my favorite.

It forces me to slow down which I have a real hard time with.

I always have 10 projects going at once, but as soon as my hands are connected to the shifter and steering wheel, body fully engaged, with both feet and both hands, the worries of the world start to melt away.

Hopefully I can capture that feeling soon;) 📸 taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @jakesgarage__

Field Notes 001. Hosted by @jakesgarage__.

@thelostreserve is a perfectly named vintage shop in Jackson, TN. Great curation, interesting bits, and colorful stories; it is everything you want out of a vintage shop.

We were allowed to dig into the goods on a closed day. It was magical.

Thank you @thelostreserve for your hospitality. The pizza and beers weren’t expected. taken in The Lost Reserve by @jakesgarage__
