I'm genuinely blown away with @rim.saver Ive been riding it on my DH bike this season and I've definitely pushed it hard and taken bad line choice and it's always come out resilient and keeping my rims safe. I've swapped between rim saver and cushcore on my norco fluid and I can notice a difference for sure. The rim saver doesn't take up a lot of room in the tire so the tire still feels active and has more grip because it can move and fold slightly to keep contact with the ground. The elastic band that holds the insert in place also does a fantastic job of keeping the tire on and prevents it from burping air in corners. It was a little tricky to install the first time because it's a different process from other tire inserts but once I figured it out it was so much easier because it can stretch out of the way of the tire. After riding the cushcore I noticed it takes up a lot of room inside the tire and keeps everything very stiff. It does how ever quiet out rim pings to where there not as easy to hear. Personally I never noticed the rim pings with the rim saver but it was audibly louder when I did. With both inserts I never felt the rim pings it's just a different sounds. I also felt the cushcore didn't keep the tire on and it just wants to slide or burp air in corners, this cause my tire to blow off (to be fair I had low air and was riding like a ding dong haha) but I did similar things with the rim saver with no issues. It boils down to personal preference it I can't speak highly enough of rim saver and how well of a job it does. Genuinely an awesome product I want to see more people using! by @jakesowles
