Traveled more than the teams did for the Finals to bear witness back home

I was raised on Yankees baseball and Giants football, but basketball and the Knicks were an organic discovery for me early on in adulthood. So many memories and connections and friendships centered around the Knicks from college onward.

These past two weekends, so many moving parts and variables out of my control somehow aligned in a way that I can only describe as magical, and allowed me to experience our first Finals victory in 53 years back in the city and surrounded by people I love. It felt like a full circle moment in so many ways; when the clock went to 0 in the 4th quarter I found myself reduced to tears, overwhelmed by it all.

The glory, the joy, the love, and the incredible energy felt throughout New York these past two weeks will stick with me forever. It was always Knicks in 5. taken in New York, New York by @jaklap

Journey to (and through) the USS Scuffle 🤿

Built and launched in 1943, the USS Scuffle was one of the Navy’s largest minesweepers, operating out of Pearl Harbor during World War II. In addition to minesweeping, it provided antisubmarine and antiaircraft protection to troop transports in the Pacific Ocean. Awarded a Presidential Citation and multiple battle stars during the War, the decorated ship was sold to the Mexican Navy in the 60s. It was then used to deter cartel and other illicit maritime activity around Mexico until the turn of the century, when it was sunk off the coast of Cozumel.

If you’re diving in Cozumel don’t go with anyone other than @jumpcozumel - the best!! 🐰
