not my week unfortunately
the pace for medals in all disciplines was there, both in individual and in teams. a big mistake on gate 4 cost me the final in k1, some very questionable judging decisions on upstream gates cost me my chances at a medal in c1, in individual as well as in teams. it hurts to end my last junior worlds this way, but it is what it is. i’ll have another chance at the euros in k1, let’s hope i’ll get the chance in c1 as well.

Athlete from the Paddelkiste

My name is Jakob and I come from Leipzig. I love this sport because I have always found water fascinating and I really like to be in and on the water. The training is particularly varied – at least in summer – because you don’t always do the same and constantly experience new situations. In addition, there are always moments when you have to act spontaneously and make quick decisions. Anything can happen, and no one is set as the fixed winner in advance - everyone has to show performance and deliver.
