Back again highlighting yet another amazing restaurant. Klienburg, north of Toronto along Islington north of Major Mackenzie drive is a hamlet in the city that has turned into an elegant, vibrant and must visit place. The Main Street core now provides a collection of outstanding restaurants, with mostly an Italian bent, high end shops and services and a walker friendly environment. It’s really beautiful.
A couple of weeks ago, with Sam Viola and Live Love Laugh , Dorothy Jakovina we went for dinner at La Baccala.
One of a handful of great Italian along this “strip” La Baccala is an elegant, beautiful addition to this area with outstanding food and an inviting atmosphere.
Food wise…this is traditional Italian, with their own spin that makes dishes very unique. Service is good, and very knowledgeable, especially as it relates to their extensive wine list, with some wines directly imported from Italy.
Loved the evening, if you’re in the area or want to make a special trip…well worth it and highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 by @jakovinapics

On this night, September 10, 2001

246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their next shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift of saving lives and 1 K9 went to bed a good boy 🐾🐾

None of them saw past 10:00 am the next morning Sept 11, 2001. In the blink of an eye, their lives were cut short.

Tonight, as you prepare for bed in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.

Ever since my niece Ava was very young, I created annual BDay graphics and always had some silly rhyme that highlighted her age. Weeeeeelllllll, todays is Ava's SWEET 16th Birthday and thought it would be a nice time to compile some of the graphics over the last 16 Years.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVA, we love you so much....oh yeah...the rhyme....here goes:
BET YOU'RE FEELING KINDA INBETWEEN...WELL THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TURN SWEET 16!....

Today is National French Bulldog Day, January 13th. Not that we need another reason to love these guys, but why not! No French Bulldog day would be complete without our boy, Lloyd. #frenchie #frenchbulldoglove #frenchbulldog #nationalfrenchbulldogday by @jakovinapics

A Day and Night in Fort Lauderdale,FL.
Prior to our cruise on November 15th, we spent the day and night in Fort Lauderdale. A very early start at Toronto Pearson, we were there at 4:30 AM. for a 6:30 AM flight.
Staying at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale marina, which is 10 minutes from the cruise port, the highlight of the day and night was happy hour and dinner at Lauderdale’s famous COCONUTS Seafood Restaurant. Wow, what an experience. If you are ever in the area, make it a point to visit. Its incredible. by @jakovinapics
