🟩 Inspired by the Renaissance and Venice

We are pleased to present a new series of original lithographs by Jakub Špaňhel, building on the artist’s longstanding interest in the Italian Renaissance. An important source of inspiration has been the work of Giovanni Bellini, particularly his celebrated Madonna and Child compositions. Špaňhel revisits Bellini’s legacy in his own distinctive way, using a contemporary painterly language and offering a personal interpretation of this timeless motif.

The series of six lithographs, Madonna and Child (Bellini) I–VI, was created at the Říční Lithography Workshop. In each work, the artist further develops the motif while referencing Venice, a city whose artistic tradition has long inspired his practice.

The lithographs are available from KC EDITIONS individually or as a complete set of six prints presented in a custom artist’s portfolio, offered at a special price. taken in KC Editions by @jakubspanhel

🟩KC Editions presents a rare opportunity to acquire a work from the series “Poppies in a Vase with Parrots” by Jakub Špaňhel, one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Czech painting.

The series exemplifies Špaňhel’s distinctive visual language — gestural, multilayered surfaces shaped by a dynamic painterly expression, counterbalanced by moments of subtle detail and tonal sensitivity. Hovering between figuration and abstraction, the works evoke a charged atmosphere in which the motif gradually emerges and dissolves within the fluidity of paint. by @jakubspanhel
