Hello There! ✨ My name is Jalen and I am a Brand and Product Designer. I've been freelancing off and on for over three years and while I've wrestled with the idea, I'm excited to jump all into the possibility of full-time creative career! I currently specialize in helping D2C startups and small businesses whether that be helping them create a cohesive brand identity for the first time, or redesign their existing app or website. After I was able to settle in on a logo design, I started to explore different fonts, color combinations, and imagery to find the pairings that I thought would best align with the feeling I was trying to convey with my brand. Swipe to see a few different directions I was exploring and let me know which one was your favorite! Direction 1: Rainforest Cafe 🌿🐯 For this direction, I wanted to lean into a more natural, and untamed identity that felt alive and tangible. My creative journey has never been linear, so the idea of condensing it all into a brandable identity was a bit daunting, but I was drawn towards the expansive nature of the rainforests and jungles, and how it continues to grow and expand. Direction 2: Golden Hour 🌇🔅 My favorite time of day has always been right when the starts to set and the world seems to slow down for a second to watch the sun dip below the horizon. I wanted to capture that sense of comfort and feeling of contentment after a day will spent. Direction 3: Lunar Luxury 🌕🌃 I've always loved the use of gold with darker, shades of navy blue. It can give the simplest designs a rich and elevated feeling that is almost unrivaled. ✨ Happy Friday! ✨ Creating the logo for my design business was something I pushed off for over a year and one of the biggest hurdles I had to get over when creating my brand identity.
