The number one statement I hear from my clients when asked what kind of look are we wanting to do is “I want to look like myself but elevated”

-focus on the skin and keep the eyes simple!
-choose colors that you see in your skin with no makeup on
-use each product that you already have in another area on the face

I don’t even use an eyeshadow palette for a look like this. I love starting with a matte eye using powder foundation and bronzer and then using the same highlighter I will use for the face, on the eyes. A little shadow liner and lash if needed!

For the face, I choose a blush color that matches the flush tones already in the cheeks. And for the bronzer, I always match the coloring found in the chest and shoulders. If you have redness in those areas, go with bronzer that has a red undertone instead of a warm /golden tone.

By using each product in at least two places on the face (bronzer on face and eyes, blush on cheeks and lips) This will insure your makeup looks cohesive and compliments your features without overdoing it!

If you want the look to come off as “natural” keep the application soft. If you want it to be more of a soft glam look, go for more coverage and a heavier application of the bronzer, blush and eyes!
