yeah- so worst summer ever. i'm so grateful it ended on a good note tho (kinda- love band camp, not thrilled with personal stuff that went on during it though)... thank you to those who consistently show up for me and support me even through my darkest days- i love yall so much. i'm looking forward to an awesome semester:D here's some good things that happened during the summer and some fun videos from band camp<3 by @jalynschmid

I'm still in denial that it's done... and yet, 2 weeks before auditions, I didn't even picture myself doing guard again. I'm so, incredibly thankful I did. To think I was so ready to never spin again is baffling. Thank you Viridian for taking a chance on me. I can't thank you all enough for the community, the opportunities, the memories, the silliness, and everything in between🫶🏻 I have never loved spinning this much and I'm so excited to do it all again next season! I will never forget this season and this team and I'm so proud of everything we've accomplished this season too! Our first silver medal, our first time going to big debbie (WGI), and almost going to semifinals?!?! We were so closeeeee, but anyway I'm also proud of myself for believing in what the future held for me which in this scenario, was coming back to spinning and choosing Viridian- I literally can't even picture a time where these divas weren't in my life, and it's insane to think I've only known most of them for like 7 months😨 I love you all dearly and I'm grateful for each and everyone of you:) There is so much more I could say about this season, but for now, thank you guys for genuinely the most amazing season of my entire life<3

BIG DEBORAH!!
This trip was the most amazing experience and I will forever be grateful for it🫶🏻 Thank you Viridian, not only for the opportunity, but for an incredible season, the love, the memories, the laughs, and celebrating my birthday with me at big debbie:)) End-of-season post coming soon because right now, I genuinely do not have the words to describe my love and appreication for this team, staff, and season. For now- thank you all and I love you guys so much💚🦸🏼‍♀️

An absolute insane year... let's debrief😭 [and sorry to the people i couldnt tag:( I love you guys<3]

⟡January: A month of hanging out with friends and preparing for guard competition season
⟡February: Winter formal, competition season started, a galentines day party, and one of my favorite pieces of art I've ever done:D
⟡March: Full of music and performing; Ireland, spinning what I thought would be my last winter guard competition season (news flash: it wasn't AGH), and started my last pit orchestra production:(
⟡April: Became an adult (it's still scary), went to my last prom, wrapped up my last pit orchestra experience, went to CBA state with my high school wind symphony, and went to my last Greeley Jazz Fest
⟡May: Senior sunset, graduation!!, a spooky speech at graduation (spooky as in I was terrified), and my grad party (with a lot of lore😭)
⟡June: scrapbooking, Lorenzo's grad party, saw Pierce the Veil and Sleeping With Sirens (literally life-changing), and went to Ren Fest:D
⟡July: I went paddle-boarding, went to Rainbow Falls twice, got a dog (he's my biggest hater rn), and started preparing for college
⟡August: started college!! and started marching band in college:P
⟡September: Football season started and therefore super fire awesomesauce halftime shows did too... that's about it
⟡October: I thought about doing guard again and went to Viridian auditions (incredibly grateful I did) and took Halloween pictures in Manitou with my besties:)
⟡November: saw the Northern Lights (again!) and saw Cady for the first time in yearssssss
⟡December: The Parade of Lights!! and went back to Iowa to visit my family and do Christmas:D + more Dec. Pics:)

All in all, I'm really grateful for the experiences this year. It was a year filled with music, caffeine, friends, family, love, learning, emotion, growing, and silliness:) I've learned so much, made some new friends, and making more memories with my not new ones:) It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows because it never is, but definitely a better year than 2024:D That's all a girl can ask for, right? I'm both really ecxited and really nervous to see what 2026 brings! Anyway, I love you all and see you in my next post:)) by @jalynschmid

Semester 1/8! Here's what I've learned😌
- Learn CSU parking services schedule
- Don't get a million parking tickets
- DO. GUARD.
- Drink Vitamin C😭
- Meal swipes get you caffeine
- Love and Be Loved
- You have 2 weeks until Netflix kicks you off😭
- 9 AMs are equally as bad as 8 AMs
- Heating pads are the world's best invention
- Drink Vitamin C when you're lightheaded
- Don't get lightheaded
- The freshman 15 is fake news
- Don't let me and Roman go into TJ Maxx together😭
- Solitaire and Criminal Minds is how you get yourself to lock in
- Sonic the Hedgehog Gene
- Other fun brain stuff
- Sonic doesn't drown (except he does actually😭)
- and so much more

I've missed my friends and family, but Fort Collins is amazing and I'm really excied for another semester! Thank you to everyone who made this semster amzing:D taken in Colorado State University by @jalynschmid

I don't think I've ever been more lucky to have these guys by my side. Words can't even begin to express how grateful I am for these lovely people:) Thank you guys for an incredible first season- Also... a special thank you to Hunter for making music with me for a lot of years, I'm really going to miss you:( More thank yous to Meg, Ollie, and Bella for being amazing section leaders and making me feel way less terrified about these new chapters of life:D And lastly, thank you to my sectionmates and all of the incredibly fantastic human beings I can call friends I have made this season... I love you all and I will see most of you next season<3
