Little weekend wrap up taken from my handy #Canon EOS R6

Friday we stepped out to see @antbluejr & @americanmatthew rock the main room at Shyboy. This was our first time checking out this duo, but it definitely won’t be the last. Really dope guys with a fantastic selection, and turns out Matthew is from the area I currently live! Small world.

Saturday was long - went digging over at Retroplex Records in Grand Prairie with the homie @_hnygrl_ & walked away with some gems (not pictured). After that, we met up with @lukesardello, Willie Dutch, & @fosdave to have some dinner at Deston’s with the wood grain carpet (also not pictured but had to be mentioned) before heading over to @charliesstarlounge for @funksnotdead_

To wind down the #weekend, I hosted a music #production learning session at the house on Sunday led by my good friend and dope producer @louiewithapen (not pictured) and then went back over to @shyboy.hifi that night to see @benhixon & @lance_desardi rock the main room.

Big ups to everyone involved and all the homies we got to link up with along the way. Until next weekend! (Don’t tell anyone, but Luke invited me to play with him at #Shyboy next Sunday 4/19 🫣)

Sat 9 PM at Charlie’s: Funk’s Not Dead 2 Year Anniversary w/very special guests: David Haffner and Luke Sardello! Come celebrate the two year anniversary of our monthly dance party with two of the best in the world! Jules at 9, Willie Dutch at 10!

Disco Rant: I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome a guy who inspired me to become a deep Disco DJ. David Haffner is a world-renowned collector and selector. No hyperbole: his landmark compilation Disco With A Feeling changed my life. He inspired me, and countless others, with his deep-digging ethos. His impecable ear has made him a tastemaker the world over.

Luke Sardello is a remarkable DJ & has some of the deepest crates I’ve ever seen. He’s become a friend & someone whom I really admire. Trading records with him on the decks is always a real pleasure for me. Can’t wait to have him in Charlie’s! taken in Charlie's Star Lounge by @jamabile23

Dropping off some photos from this past weekend. Went to see some friends play some records, and they never disappoint.

First up was @salmanf___’s birthday shenanigans on Friday over at @amfmdallas powered by @sideasocial - he had @jamabile23 & his homie @_tombus rockin’ with him. Be sure to follow AMFM for more events - they keep a super solid rotation.

Next up was @djsober on Saturday over at the infamous @shyboy.hifi - definitely a night to remember. Sober always has the spot bumpin’ like no other.

Following Sober on Saturday, we popped out to @funksnotdead_ over at @charliesstarlounge - Willie Dutch was killin’ it with the homie, once again, @jamabile23 along with @brookjams

‘Twas a great #weekend with great #music. Big ups to those involved and all the homies we got to catch up with along the way.

Looking forward to this weekend’s events, kicking it off with the next Sound Advice session at #Shyboy on Friday and then our private Analog Affair on Sunday. Let me know what’s going on Saturday night in #Dallas or #FortWorth in the comments 👀🫣 taken in Dallas, Texas by @jamabile23
