Hey guys!

It’s been a while. 😅
Figured I would start by saying hello…again.

Kenzie and I left LA back in 2020 to start a community of faith here in Atlanta.

It’s now 2026 and there is so much that has happened from 2020 till now.

Kenzie and i have 2 kids.
We started a small business called @kiah.studios that we have been running for the past 4 years.
Creating and building a community with mosaic here in ATL. @mosaicatl

I have so much i want to share what God has been doing in my life.

Can’t wait to tell the stories and insights that God has been teaching me.

Hopefully, through my mistakes, you can avoid some traps and pitfalls. 😉

This isn’t a one size fits all kinda moments.

There could be a lot of reasons why people leave the church or faith.

But i do think there are moments where IF we don’t understand or recognize where we are, we will assume that God is no where near us.

We will assume the lack of hearing his voice, God is no longer with us.

Could it be that God is preparing you for what’s next.

But what he needs to do is get you to a place where it’s only you and him.

If we don’t understand this, this is where we will end up leaving and begin the process of hardening our hearts. by @jamarbrownking

For the longest, i assume that perseverance was just holding on tightly and kinda white knuckling whatever moment i was going through just to get to the other side.

Or better yet, just being numb to what God was trying to do.

I’ve learnt that the real growth is when you are standing under the pressure, the weight, and being AWARE of all that is coming and pouring out of my life.

It’s having an open heart and not masking the pain but being completely honest and knowing that there is something being produced within in. by @jamarbrownking

Have you ever had moments where you just questioned God, what is happening?

Moments where you feel like God has abandoned you on what you feel he has called you to.

Almost like it came out of left field.

In fact, it seems like you are getting farther and farther away from the dream or the promise.

Late night rabbit holes of:
Questioning
Doubting
Frustrations
Crying
Upset
All the emotions.

The quietness.
Sometimes the deafening quietness.
The type that makes you think you are forgotten.

Now, this is where it’s easy to give the “answer” to hope.
He is a God of Hope.

But can I ask you something else?
Instead of giving you a “pill of an answer” to ease the pain.

Could it be in these moments where we have the opportunity to be transformed.
To be different.
Could it be that God is not distant but doing a work within you that NEEDS to happen.

A version of you that is only birthed from pain and hardships.

Maybe the world needs THAT version of you.
The version of you that has GONE through the other side of those heavy moments.

I want to embrace the MIDDLE.

Cause I know there is work that needs to be finished within me.

God is a big God, and is able to handle those emotions.

But what would it look like if we embraced the hardships.
The late nights.
The moments where it doesn’t make sense.

We stop trying to get to Hope right away and lean into the middle on our way TO Hope.
To getting stronger.
Having our character forged.

What if God said “This is all part of the plan…” by @jamarbrownking

Sometimes the hardest part of being in a season of wilderness is knowing where to go.

We just want to next step.
We want to know what direction.
Just tell me what to do next.

I’ve prayed it all.

I’ve learned it less about getting you somewhere and more about listening to what God is speaking to you in that season.

Don’t let a bitter heart prevent you from hearing from God.

Nobody warns you about the wilderness season.

What I didn’t understand then is this: the wilderness isn’t where your calling dies. Sometimes it’s exactly where God is preparing it.

If you’re in a season where everything feels hard, forced, or quiet, don’t give up. You’re being prepared. Don’t run back. Don’t force your way out.
Let perseverance finish its job.

Save this for the day you need it. 🤍
