🎤 Meet our March A&R Session guest: @james.lightfoot .

We’re excited to welcome James Lightfoot, A&R Manager at TikTok / SoundOn, to Tileyard for our upcoming A&R Session on 24 March.

With over 4 years at TikTok’s music team, James has worked closely with artists and teams on campaigns for global hits including @raye – “Escapism”, @calvinharris – “Miracle”, and Kylie Minogue – “Padam.”

Today we lay our beautiful friend Leah to rest. There aren’t words to describe the feeling of loss and heartache at not being able to see Leah again. I tried to say everything I wanted to say to Leah before she passed, so this post is just a tribute to share the love and light that she brought to our lives.

The first photo above is from my 30th birthday in Paris. I had left booking accommodation last minute and was panicking at not being able to find anywhere to stay. Leah came to the rescue and within minutes had found the perfect apartment for 11 people in the heart of the city. That was Leah! The most impressive and proficient person I knew. Leah was the centrepiece of every occasion, always game for an adventure or a good time. I’ve partied the night away with Leah from Tokyo to Seoul to Budapest. I’ve tried to find photos and videos which encapsulate Leah’s love of life.

She was always on the end of the phone - be it advising on job interviews, relationships or helping to choose a sofa. Leah could have a conversation on just about everything, and we bonded especially on music, cooking, work, TV shows. Leah remembered the little things and would always send a card with a beautiful thoughtful message.

The courage and bravery with which Leah faced her illness with was frankly beyond belief. The anecdotes from those who were with her in her final days have taken my breath away.

And now we are left without our lovely Leah. It’s hard to comprehend that I won’t have another dinner with Leah, won’t go to another festival together or hear another voice note. There is a huge hole left in all of our lives with her gone. I will never forget the precious memories I have with Leah.

My thoughts are with her husband Owen, her family and all of her friends. I will love and miss you forever Leah ❤️ by @james.lightfoot
