Still looking back on @loudandproudfestival and smiling 🙌
What a wonderful opportunity to blend my love of metal with my faith, I feel truly blessed to have been involved.

The main set was absolutely wild, thank you to all who came! And the acoustic/QnA set was a wonderful opportunity to pray for, worship with and share our testimonies with our Christian brothers and sisters in the mainland, it was great to hear your own stories afterwards too.

An amazing experience from start to finish, extremely well run too! The organisers know how to put on a great festival! Thank you and God bless 🙏

What a wild ride the whole music thing has been.
I don’t post all that often on the grid, but I wanted to stop by again and express gratitude for all of you who are still here 🫶

And share some good news with you.

The album I wrote right off the back of the Hollow split over two years ago now (can you believe it?) WILL be getting released and the first two singles will be in the studio towards the back end of the year. I’ve worked extremely hard on these songs over the years and they continue to get better and better over time. If you’re here off the back on my stint with Hollow you’re going to love it.

Eternal Lords next job is also in the studio, we’ve got more bangers in the chamber to be dropping, so watch out for that!

And there’s something else in the works too which I can’t talk about yet, all I’ll say is that it’s a great fit for me and I’ll really enjoy working on it ❤️

Before the year is up, this insta will be popping again!
But believe me when I say, it doesn’t matter how many years it takes, we don’t ever stop.

I’ll see you all very soon! by @james_hackett__

Manchester… you guys were absolutely insane! Thank you so much for the core memory!

The weekend ended all too quickly, I wish we could have done way more… but all I want to say right now is thank you 🙏

I think the boys in @iktpqofficial might be the most accommodating and lovely people I’ve met.. EL have such a rich history with this band, although I came in after Ida Wave as an album era Eternal Lord member (2007/08), I’m just so grateful that I get to play a part in the bands lore and also help to build the legacy of the band going forward.

Who knows what’ll happen next, but I sure don’t want to leave it another 21 years! Maybe “Lord down under” is something that can be arranged one day, who knows… love a Tim Tam me 🇦🇺

I played some 20 year old songs last night with @eternallord_ in my home town of Swindon, UK. In a venue that started it all for many of us locally, the legendary @thevicswindonsn1

I was an 18 year old kid back then with no idea if I’d still be doing this as a middle aged man… well, I am, and to see the room packed with old faces from a past life all enjoying the same, insane nostalgia trip was truly a pleasure!

This wasn’t a show, it was a 2006 Swindon MySpacecore reunion and I was super here for it!

A massive thank you to @heriotmetal to be grounded enough to go from huge tours and festivals to bring it all back to where it started and bring @eternallord_ and @theargentdawn along for the ride! Swindon sadly gets missed for larger acts these days, so this was truly special. 🙏

2025 wrap up 🎉

Was alright to be fair,
- Lord reunited and we had some sick times in Germany, reconnecting with the boys has been great! 🎸
- Managed to get two holidays in with the fam ☀️
- My main bill paying client closed down, so I started a new business and am now killing it with the new business, so alls well that ends well 📸
- Completed an Alpha course and became a Christian (approximately 0% of you expected that 🤣)
- Took all the weight off, put it all on again, standard 🙄
- Other band is still there, but of course, still no clean singer, (also standard). 🎤

———

2026 will be largely a focus on work, a little bit of growth would be nice but largely just maintaining what I have, staying solo and enjoying it - we’re keeping things simple this time around.

A holiday would be nice, I have to save more mind (I’m notoriously terrible at saving) and I’ll actually play a show again in Feb! What a treat!
Plus, I don’t have to work Saturdays anymore! (Let’s go!) More family time in 2026 is a must! ❤️

Have a good new years all ✌️ by @james_hackett__
