this magnificent pair of vintage hand-carved alabaster lamps was created circa 1950, and Jeffrey is fairly certain they were made by (or for) Marbro. each sculpture was polished to a high sheen, and as both art and lighting they will shine wherever they land.

these antique French lamps were hand-carved from black marble in the 1800s. each has a pair of mermaids blowing horns, while their urn-form seats rest in doré bronze 'egg cups' rising from their plinths. now electrified, they are positively ethereal.

this stately vintage heraldic crest was created in Italy by Palladio, circa 1950. the coat of arms is hand-carved, painted, and polychromed wood, and it hangs from a roaring leopard flanked by acanthus leaves and feathers, all (including the shield's frame) made of gilded metal. measuring 36" tall and 23" wide, it's a large and handsome piece of wall décor.

this pair of vintage three-drawer steel chests was created circa 1950, but the design is surely an homage to deco. they're two of my favorite things, and I'm convinced the only reason we still have them is that they're not in one of our shops, so have only been seen here on insta. put together with rivets, the inside of the drawers was painted to resemble mahogany, and the brass pulls are a perfect complement to the overall design. come and get 'em!

this is where the wild things are! they roam our antique preserve, waiting to be adopted. lions and tigers and bears (oh, my!) wander the aisles, and our Black Forest bear doubles as an adjustable piano stool. the glass-eyed creature was hand-carved in Germany in the 1800s, and he's child-friendly!

this is the tropics, so monkeys feel right at home. this particular monkey was created by a master sculptor (circa 1950), and the porcelain-glazed terracotta simian is dressed in finery while sitting on a stack of pillows, playing his harp. from every angle, the attention to detail was incredible!
