Originally from Ireland, James Berkery is a London-based choreographer and movement director working across film, television and commercials. In just over a decade, he has established himself as one of the most exciting emerging voices in dance and screen choreography.
His work has been featured across BBC, ITV, MTV, Universal Music, VICE, PAPER Magazine, The 405 and VOGUE Italia. Clients include IKEA, Sonos, Film4, Puma and the BFI.
He was also Movement Director on The Wolf, The Fox & The Leopard, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival ahead of its US cinema release in 2026.

Some initial improv I created in prep for a commercial with @boconcept_official. The brief was that design and environment moves you, so I used this LA Airbnb bathroom to explore ideas, moods and patterns.

We only had one day to rehearse before our shoot in Denmark, so I used these videos to start the conversation on choreographic direction with creative director @kornykopia (with an 11-hour time difference!). taken in Los Angeles, California by @jamesberkery

A week in Copenhagen choreographing for @boconcept_official with a wonderful team.
The concept was ‘Design That Moves You’ the idea that a beautiful space can genuinely move you, physically and emotionally. Lots of sofa lounging and rolling was had!
