I’m so stoked to officially announce that my new EP, Spiritual Calling Card, drops October 30! 🔮

Making this EP brought me back to the sound I unleashed on my last album, Unhinged Minds. It actually started out as something completely different. I’d produced several tracks, but they still didn’t feel like what I wanted to express. So I fired up my mic and started saying what was on my mind.

Some of this EP has a serious tone, but I also try not to take myself too seriously. You’ll hear some of my campier vocal stylings in there, too. I know this sound is a big swing for this industry, but I never want to play it safe, either as a DJ or as an artist.

The DJ promo so far has brought mostly positive feedback and a few haters. But at least the music gave them an emotional response, even if it was in a negative light. 😈

I’m also really happy to share my first collaboration with @nickymiller0 on this EP. Working together has been great from start to finish, and we made an official video for the track. More on that soon!

For now, here’s the official artwork and a teaser for each track. Swipe through! 🖤

Hey y’all! I know I’ve been a bit quiet lately, but that’s because I’ve been hard at work finishing up my next EP, including shooting a music video for one of the tracks I’ve previously teased to you. 👀

This project actually started last year when I decided I wanted to work more with hardware, dive deeper into doing my own synthesis, and push myself toward what I was convinced was going to be a completely new sound that would redefine me as an artist.

What I realized along the way was almost the opposite: my sound has already defined itself.

There have always been two distinct sides to my music: the darker, horror-inspired club tracks and the more vocal-heavy side that really came forward on my last album. When I started this project, I had absolutely no plans to fire up the mic again... but something called to me, and this EP was born.

I’m especially excited because this is the official follow-up to ‘Unhinged Minds’, while also marking a few new milestones for me, including the first track I’ve ever released that was made 100% with hardware.

And as you can probably expect from my vocal tracks, you’ll be getting plenty of campy, witchy rantings alongside some very real messages about the current state of the world. 🔮

The EP is called ‘Spiritual Calling Card’ and will be arriving at the end of October.

It also features guest vocals on one of the tracks from my dear friend @nickymiller0, who has been an amazing collaborator throughout this project. And let’s just say there’s definitely more cooking in our cauldron that I’m looking forward to sharing with you in the near future. 🦇

More on the EP, the music video, and everything else very soon. 🖤 taken in Berlin, Germany by @jamesdemonoccult

It took me a few days to decompress after such a wild day at Tomorrowland with one of my nearest and dearest, @oonadahl!

This was my first time experiencing the festival, and I have to say the production value is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Every detail was absolutely incredible.

I’m so grateful for the time we spent together, Oona, and for the chance to play tour manager for the day. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come from wild party kids to the more grounded and mature artists we’ve become today (well… mostly 😄).

It was such a great experience meeting so many incredible artists, sharing stories as fellow ravers, and watching their jaws drop when they realized how young we’ve managed to stay over the years. I’ve always believed this music, this community, and the passion we’ve shared have helped keep us young at heart.

A huge thank you as well to the amazing team that makes Tomorrowland what it is. Everything was executed to perfection, and I’m filled with gratitude for the experience.

Until we all meet again. ❤️ by @jamesdemonoccult

This year has been one of the most transformative of my life so far. After 13 years, I’ve decided it’s time to bring a significant chapter to a close (don’t worry, I’m not leaving Berlin).

I’ve had to make some difficult decisions about my future so that something new can be born. If anything, this means I’ll be putting music even more at the forefront of my life.

I’ll be sharing more about it with you soon, but for now I can say that over the next few months you’ll be seeing and hearing a lot more from me as several new projects begin to launch.

I’ve already been dropping a few hints along the way, but in the meantime, here’s a photo of me serving peak street goth looks. 👀

Hey y’all,

Last Friday, my new Hyper Goth remix of Shiver by @lucia.luna.pdx dropped on all platforms.

This track has been part of the @occultists_official catalog for a while now, and it’s one of the most special releases for me. Not only because of what it means to Lucia, but also as the label as a whole.

It’s also one of the remixes I’m most proud of, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Stay tuned, I also put together some reels showing my process while creating this remix, and I’ll be sharing those over the coming weeks.

@lucia.luna.pdx — “Shiver” (@jamesdemonoccult Hyper Goth Remix) is out now 🖤

Dragged deep into the fog with trance euphoria, haunted vocals, and warehouse pressure. Melancholy for the peak-time floor.
