I will be holding a book launch at the @icp International Center of Photography’s Photobook Fest 2026 this Friday, May 8th at 1:30 pm in the Library. I’m thrilled to be in conversation with James Estrin @jamesestrin to discuss Cue the Birds. Thank you so much, again, to everyone who supported the book with their pre-orders in late 2025 through Italian publisher, Eyeshot @eyeshot_magazine After the event, remaining copies of this limited edition book will be available for purchase for those who missed the initial window. The event is taking place as part of the larger three-day festival, so please feel free to stay and enjoy the rest of festival (panels, signings, etc) with your entrance ticket. @isadorakosofsky is a master at gaining access and making intimate documentary photographs. She is also a gifted teacher. I highly recommend her workshop @andersonranchartscenter in the Colorado Rockies in July. Link in my bio. by @jamesestrin

The Anderson Ranch Advanced Mentorship Program is the most profound educational program I have ever been involved with. Join me, Ed Kashi and a dozen passionate photographers to work on your own personal long term project. Link in my bio above. We meet once a year for a week in August in beautiful Snowmass Colorado and are in constant touch throughout the year through individual and group zoom meetings. Doing meaningful personal work is difficult and can be lonely. Join our community and we will support each other. Over 10 years, there have been 6 books published and scores of major publications including National Geographic, Smithsonian, The New York Times and The Washington Post and the New Yorker. Cohort members have also been exhibited widely including at Photoville and The Museum of the City of New York and won numerous World Press , POYi and BOPJ awards including several Photographer of The Year Awards. Last week I photographed pianist Igor Levit performing at the Sonic Sphere at the Shed in NYC.
It is a concert hall in a sphere suspended in the air. I felt like I had traveled forward in time. But it is a realization of a more than 50 year old concert hall design by the composer Karlheinz Stockhausen. #onassignment @nytimes #music #sonicsphere #classicalmusic #stockhausen by @jamesestrin

I’m so excited to share that my project “New York’s Swirling Kaleidoscope of Faiths” is being exhibited at Photoville underneath the Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn Bridge Park from this Saturday June 3rd through June 18th.
