2025 was a year of faith, purpose, and preparation.

Above all, I give all glory to God. Every door opened, every lesson learned, and every opportunity this year was a reminder that God’s timing is perfect.

• I graduated from Miles College, completing a chapter that strengthened not only my education, but my faith and perseverance.

• I concluded my service as Vice President of the UNCF National Pre-Alumni Council, representing student leaders from 30+ private HBCUs nationwide, an experience that deepened my commitment to servant leadership.

• I completed an internship at the Alabama State House, serving under Representative Travis Hendrix (District 55), gaining invaluable insight into legislative service and civic responsibility.

• By God’s grace, I transitioned into full-time public service as Community Liaison for the City of Birmingham, working in the Office of Councilor Crystal Smitherman, Esq. (District 6).

• I was honored to be 1 of 5 young leaders in Birmingham invited to a sit-down conversation with Former Vice President Kamala Harris, and to engage in meaningful conversations with U.S. Representative Terri Sewell and Former U.S. Senator Doug Jones, including serving as a speaker at Senator Doug Jones’ Campaign Kickoff for Governor in Alabama.

I am deeply grateful for the mentors, family, friends, and community who covered me in prayer and guidance along the way.

As I move into the next season, I remain committed to walking in faith, serving with purpose, and leading with integrity — trusting God in every step.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. — Jeremiah 29:11

Thank you, Big Sister Vice President! 😂❤️

Grateful for the opportunity to sit in conversation with Vice President @kamalaharris a truly inspiring and powerful exchange about leadership, service, and the future of our communities. I was proud to represent Miles College in that moment, standing alongside other brilliant minds from across Alabama.

Special thanks to Dee Reed and the Black Voters Matter Fund for the invitation and for always creating spaces that uplift and connect us. 🙌🏾

Big shoutout to the amazing crew who showed up, the hosts who made it happen, and the four young adults I had the honor of joining in this important conversation — y’all made it unforgettable. ❤️💪🏾

CBC Recap:

My first Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Conference was a success! I had the opportunity to meet so many new people, including pioneers who paved the way for people like me. I learned so much from my peers, gained valuable advice, attended amazing sessions, and was even featured in a news article.

Grateful for the experience, the connections, and everything I was able to take away from this conference! I

had an incredible time and look forward to the years to come. 💙

Yesterday, our Executive Board Alabama State Democratic Executive Committee (SDEC) Organizational Meeting!

Back in the May 2026 Democratic Primary, Vice President @jamesfields.iv and Political Director @Bri Davis members were elected to serve on the SDEC.
We’re also proud to share that our President @rjayspeaks was appointed and confirmed as an At-Large Member of the SDEC through the Youth Caucus.

We also want to extend a huge congratulations to Senator Bobby Singleton on his election as Chair, @jcarolineself on her election as Vice Chair, and @therealjoshcoleman on his election as DNC Committeeman.

Here’s to a new direction for the Alabama Democratic Party — by the people, for the people, and with a commitment to building a stronger future for Alabama Democrats. Onward! 💙🌊 taken in Montgomery, Alabama by @jamesfields.iv

Proud to have served as a moderator for the “Her Voice, Her Impact” Women’s History Month Panel hosted by Birmingham Young Democrats.

As a member of the Executive Board, it’s especially meaningful to help create spaces that elevate women’s voices and highlight the impact of leaders across our community from public service to advocacy and beyond. The conversation was thoughtful, engaging, and a strong reminder of why this work matters.

Grateful to our panelists, attendees, and everyone who helped make this event possible.
Looking forward to continuing this work and building even more opportunities for civic engagement in Birmingham.
