@heavyistheheadva’s first ep High Pressure was released four years ago today. It feels like a lifetime ago. If I remember correctly, we also left for a run with @strikefacehc that day. Amyway, I’m still incredibly proud of this record and I’m proud of those guys and what they’re continuing to accomplish. by @jameshoffer

I was feeling nostalgic so I pulled up this live @glossing804 video. This is still one of my favorite songs I helped write. by @jameshoffer

@converge released Jane Doe 25 years ago today. This album influenced so much of my writing. To say that this is one of the most important albums of all time would be a total understatement. by @jameshoffer

Hey! Thanks to everyone who showed up on time to watch @deadformat804 last night. We had a great time. Thanks to @oldspicer for providing a space and for being an excellent host. And thanks to @40reps_the_band , @oortpatrol and @pedalsonourpirateships for being awesome. And shout out to 40 Reps for letting us borrow cabs.

Do you book shows? We’re looking for more of them. Get at us. Thank you.

Sharing this 30 second clip from Full Collapse practice yesterday to remind you that we exist and we need shows. Also, sharing this clip because I like this riff. Let’s fucking go! by @jameshoffer

I didn’t know this video existed until tonight and now I can’t stop watching it.

This is from the last show that Rough Age played. It’s a new and unreleased song that we played for the first time at this show. I absolutely fucking love this song. Maybe you’ll like it too? Maybe? by @jameshoffer

Good morning. Just checking in since it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these personal posts. Sorry about the unflattering picture but it’s how I’m looking today. Also, some of these things have been mentioned in other posts but I’ll mention them here too so all updates can be in one place. Anyway, let’s go.

1. I got my catheter removed. I’m able to take normal showers again.
2. I’m still going to dialysis three times a week. I had a fistula put in my left arm a few months ago. This is how I’m able to do dialysis without the catheter.
3. My stepmom lost her fight with cancer a few months ago. She battled it for a long time and even beat it a few times. This time she couldn’t fight it.
4. My dad is still hanging in there.
5. I’m still going to the gym. I haven’t posted about it much lately but I’m still going.
6. I’m still 100% substance free. Completely sober. Honestly I thought I’d be a smoker until I died but it feels great to have finally kicked that habit. I’m also saving a lot of money by not buying vapes. That shit gets expensive. I haven’t been completely free of all substances since I claimed straight edge in high school. Yeah, this feels good.
7. I’m still playing music. Not being in Heavy Is The Head anymore means I’m not playing nearly as many shows but this is honestly what I needed. The schedule was getting hard to keep up with. But yeah, I’m still in a few bands and Dead Format has a show coming up later this month and Rough Age has something coming up that you’ll hear about later.

That’s everything I can think of right now. I’m sure I’m missing something. Anyway, I hope everyone’s doing well. You are loved. by @jameshoffer

I found a few old promos while digging for something else.

1. Escapists
2. Dead Man’s Hand
3. Wake Of Ruin

These cover a ten year span. And they’re all a long time ago. I don’t look like the same person anymore. Time flies I guess. by @jameshoffer
