Painting done! This was a pain to take apart and put back together. Make sure to label all the parts. 😂 by @jamesito7

Costume update. Got a lot done this afternoon. I think the sabatons were the most time consuming. Made slits in the top plate so Oliver can secure them to his shoes. by @jamesito7

Had a fun time painting plein air with a buddy of mine Donald George Tapp III in Lexington. I was hoping blue skies but the overcast was a blessing in disguise. No glare or sunburns! 😎 by @jamesito7

This may be the most spiritual painting I will do so far. It’s of the facade of the Ogden Temple. In front of it, is a Sikh sitting on the bench and reading what looks like to be a sacred text. I was really drawn to this image because as Stephanie and I were coming out of the temple with our oldest and seeing this man who is not of our faith, I was at peace. Everything was peaceful. I took the photo never speaking to this man. All I could think was “This man is at peace. So why can’t I?”

So here ya go. I’m painting this at 36 x 28 inches oil on canvas. It will take me a few months and going to try to fish this by the end of the year. Wish me luck. And who knows. I may submit it to the 14th International Art Competition. 😉
