In these trying times @zoowwiiee and I decided to consult our mentors, admire nature, and let our nemesis know we still have beef.
+ some fun facts

1. FDR - This painting is a study for an unfinished work commemorating the Yalta Conference. Note the artist experimenting with Roosevelts hands on the bottom, zoom in for a rough sketch of the full painting that never was, because Stalin refused to pose for it.

2. John Brown - Wrapped in an army blanket and wearing shackles on his wrists; (faded with time look at the bottom right) this Civil Rights legend is depicted in the final days of his life before execution by hanging.

3. JFK - Apparently, Lincoln haunts the White House and warns Presidents of assasination attempts. In one case, Jackie Kennedy found an exact replica of Lincoln’s top hat on her dresser days before her husband was killed. Not even the secret service could figure out how it got there.

4. Ben Franklin - Some people think Benny boy was a serial killer. But the most likely reason discarded human remains were found on his property is because he studied anatomy. Before people donated their body to science the best way to study our innards outside of a book was to steal a corpse from a grave.

5. Cardinal James Gibbons - Bishop of Baltimore and 2nd American Cardinal in history, Gibbons was the most powerful man in his home city during the late 1800s. Gibbons used his influence to push the Catholic Church to endorsing workers unions.

6. Ronald Reagan - 40 years and not a dime has trickled down, bozo. taken in National Portrait Gallery by @jameslambertttt
