“I’m actually lost for words.” The ⭐️ Comment of the Week perfectly captures the slow-burn dread of Jump Cut - a reality-bending sci-fi about time skipping forward ⏰and a life quietly slipping away in the gaps.

What scares you more: losing time… or not noticing it’s gone ⏳?

Thank you to the amazing Lauren Bowers @fake_vegetarian for designing the posters for Jump Cut! She made so many beautiful and mysterious posters it was a struggle to pick which one to go with. This is one of my favorites! by @jamesmartinmorrison

Statement from the Filmmaker 🧠:
Where does the time go? Coming out of the fog of the pandemic, this question felt more urgent than ever. Many of us went months or even years without seeing loved ones in person. We emerged to find that despite so many parts of our lives being suspended in time, it had marched onward without us. I was left with a strange feeling that my time had been stolen by some unseen force.

That unseen force was the inspiration for Jump Cut, a surreal nightmare film. It’s a cautionary tale about how people - especially women in the entertainment industry - are taken advantage of in the pursuit of their dreams.

Exciting news! JUMP CUT has made its streaming premiere on DUST — link in bio.

This film stands not just as an exploration of our career anxieties, but as a time capsule of a very specific period of generous friends, understanding loved ones and (some) stolen locations in our relentlessly resilient city.

Incredibly proud of all the folks who helped and championed this film.
