Meg and Jordan’s legal wedding day at the iconic Chelsea Old Town Hall was incredible for lots of different reasons, but witnessing their vows to one another was definitely my favourite part of the day. Hearing the love they have for one another and the promises they made to each other was a beautiful moment to be a part of, let alone photograph 🥹.

Capturing beautiful portraits of them as a couple was important to them, so we factored that into their day during our pre-wedding planning call. We had so much fun in and around Chelsea, capturing photos that really show them off as a couple.

Meg and Jordan were keen to have a significant part of their coverage captured on film, which I was so excited for! The vibe of Chelsea Old Town Hall really lends itself to film, which all added to their incredible celebration.

It was a dream come true being asked by Beth and Ben to photograph their wedding entirely on film 🤩! Having now photographed their day, I honestly can’t picture it being captured in any other way.

Their wedding was so uniquely them. Every element of the day felt infused with who they are, both as individuals and as a couple, and it was such an amazing experience to document all of it ☺️.

The vibe was festival chic with a cowboy influence and it was SO COOL!!

Photographing a wedding fully on film requires a slightly different approach to the day. Shooting film well, requires an extra layer of focus and mindfulness. You have to be really intentional about what you’re photographing when you press the shutter. I felt so much more connected to the process of making photographs.

I genuinely can’t wait to photograph more weddings fully on film!

For my fellow film nerds I photographed the wedding on a combination of the Nikon f3 (I’m obsessed with the 28mm 😍), the canon eos 1V and EOS 3 as well as a Mamiya 645 for that medium format magic 🤓

How are you supposed to fit a wedding like this into just 20 slides 🤯! I could quite easily have doubled the photos in this post and it still wouldn’t have been enough to tell this incredible story 🤩!

The energy from the start of the day right up until the end was insane 😁!! I don’t think I ever saw Iona and Ben without smiles on their faces throughout the day! I knew this day was going to be special and it absolutely did not disappoint 😁! The main goal I set myself was to try and bottle up as much of the energy and joy from the day as I possible could in the photos I made, so I hope you can feel it too as you look through these photos ☺️.

Iona and Ben, from our very first call I knew you guys were special, and seeing you on your wedding day surrounded by all the love from your friends and family just confirmed that for me. I’m so grateful to you both for letting me be a little part of your incredible journey!

I say this a lot but the thing that keeps me loving this job more than ever, 13 years into my career, aside from my ever-growing love for the craft, are the amazing couples I get to meet along the way.

I feel beyond blessed that I get to work with some of the kindest, most thoughtful and fun human beings you could ever meet 🥹.

From my very first call with Amy and Ryan, I felt like I was connecting with old friends. Throughout our conversations in the leadup to the wedding, our visions just felt so aligned. We bonded very quickly over our shared love of all things film photography 🤓🎞️

Their moodboard was filled with photos of mine, which was such an honour! That kind of trust and appreciation for my work is like rocket fuel for me and it’s not something I take for granted.

I wanted to make sure their photos not only captured the elegance and beauty of their day, but also the connection between the two of them and the beautiful souls they’d chosen to celebrate with.

This photo is one of the reasons why I love getting to know my couples and what’s important to them 🖤.

This was the moment Piotr saw his primary school teacher on his wedding day. From conversations we’d had in the lead up to the wedding, I knew how much he was looking forward to seeing her, so when this happened, I knew I had to photograph it.

Being a photographer, for me, is about more than knowing the timeline and turning up with a camera. It’s about understanding the people and relationships that matter to my couples, so I can recognise and photograph the moments that actually mean something ☺️.

When Katharine and Alex described each other in their intro forms, Katharine said that Alex is one of those people who can talk to and make friends with anyone. He’s this incredibly larger-than-life character that you can’t help but be drawn to. Seeing him surrounded by all of his friends and family, I could completely see what Katharine meant.

Alex described Katharine as incredibly kind with an infectious energy, and again, I saw that from my very first interaction with her. She’s such a warm and genuine person. I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone check in with me as many times as she did, making sure I was okay and being looked after. After meeting her mum and sister, I could totally see that it’s a family trait. They’re some of the kindest people I’ve had the chance to meet ☺️.

I absolutely loved photographing this wedding because I keep finding myself drawn to couples whose days don’t feel like they’re trying to fit into the “wedding” box.

K & A weren’t just doing the things social media tells you to do. They instead created a day that felt like them, surrounded by the people they love ☺️.

And this is one of the biggest pieces of advice I can give to any couple. If there were no outside influences or pressure from anyone else, what would your wedding look like? What kind of wedding would you enjoy attending as a guest?

It felt like that was exactly what K & A did. There was so much intentionality behind their choices, creating a day that reflected who they are while making sure both they and their guests could fully enjoy it ☺️.

They built a day that just felt so them, and it was beautiful to photograph 🖤🙏🏾

I’m not too sure how you’re supposed to sum up four days with two of the most beautiful souls and their amazing friends and family in just 20 slides, but here’s my attempt!

Danielle and Murray’s wedding was truly beautiful. Every element was so thoughtfully planned, and there was a real intentionality behind everything that happened across all four days.

One of my favourite moments from the entire celebration was getting to witness Murray, who is an incredible pianist and composer, perform one of his MindTravel pieces for his guests. It was so captivating and immersive, you almost felt transported into another world.

In the lead up to the wedding, Danielle and I spoke about the photography and some of her inspirations. I was so excited when she mentioned how much she loved photographers like @therealpeterlindbergh, @roversi and @ellenvonunwerth, who are all photographers whose work I absolutely love! Her moodboard was such a joy to look through while preparing for their celebration.

Film photography was a key part of how they wanted their wedding documented, with Murray also being a fine art photographer and Danielle having had a modelling career. Their celebration lent itself so beautifully to being photographed on film, and I’m so pleased with how the photographs turned out. I used a combination of 35mm and 120 film across the four days.

Meg & Jordan’s wedding weekend kicked off with a beautiful Hindu ceremony surrounded by their loved ones. There was such a sense of two families coming together and it was so lovely to witness from start to finish ☺️.

What stood out the most throughout the whole weekend was their connection to each other. After photographing their two wedding days as well as their couple shoot, I can honestly say that these two were meant to be together 🖤.

I love how the film photos came out for this one and how vibrant the colours are 🎞️. They felt so effortless on the day and that really came across in the photos as well 🙌🏾.

At Georgiana and Arran’s wedding, I knew the best thing I could do was to create a space where they could feel completely at ease, to allow them to be themselves and stepping back to capture the love between them. It was so easy to see how they felt about each other. I’d look over at them at different points throughout the day and their love for each other was so plain to see 🥹

What a joy and an honour it was to document such a beautiful relationship.

Georgiana and I also bonded so quickly during our first call after we got onto the subject of epic fantasy novels! Basically, if you’re into fantasy, I have to photograph your wedding, that’s the rule 🤷🏾‍♂️🤓.

G & A, thank you both so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. I’m so grateful that I got to spend the day with you both ☺️🙏🏾.
