It’s been a few weeks on board the new @specializedza S-Works Epic 9 and it’s been knocking off PR’s on almost every ride! The rear linkage, suspension kinematics and addition of the Roval World Cup Wheels, has been such an update (atleast for me) , allowing really smooth movement from the shock on the trails, keeping you smooth and fast, yet paired with flight attendant, gives you an instant ‘Race Mode’ when you need to get your foot on the gas, climb, or race for your cortado at @balance_coffee_roastery .

Armageddon is running so smooth thanks to @chrisjustflow and @ace_of_spades_trails too, making it that much easier to really feel your bike’s style. Thanks guys, you guys do so much for us all!

It’s still ‘pinch me’ moments being able to ride the bikes we do, on the trails we do, thank you to everyone who makes this possible! taken in Jonkershoek Nature Reserve by @jamesrossmarsh

Thanks for the amazing 8 years of marriage my E! It’s been an incredible journey doing life with you daily. Watching you stand up to every challenge and love so many people around you so well. You’ve been my lifetime’s biggest blessing and I’m forever grateful for you! I love you @eclaireza

Every rider who’s done a stage race has seen it: the school kids handing
out water, the local guy who’s swept the same piece of singletrack all
year so it’s ready for you. @jamesrossmarsh AKA James ‘Beers’ joins The Breakaway to unpack
what actually happens to the money you pay to enter a race — and why it matters more than most riders realise.

James shines a light on the somewhat unseen mammoth that is trail maintenance, overlooked and taken for granted - we get into the detail in a hope to enlighten and bring about positive change that we all benefit from.

We also get into the Tour de France and the various races within the race.

My North Star, the lady I look to for help, wisdom and guidance, the crazy girl I can dream with, be serious or playful around. A sounding board for silly ideas or plans to build a life together.

Looking back on our nearly 8 years of married life, I couldn’t even begin to imagine the influence E would have over my life, the leadership, love and gentleness she’s poured into me.

What an honour to be your husband ❤️🥰 taken in Jonkershoek Nature Reserve by @jamesrossmarsh

Incredible trail networks like @mtotrails_jonkershoek take hard work. More than that, they’re built on an absolute passion to have riders experience, what the team at Soil Searching build and maintain. We caught up with @ace_of_spades_trails and our very own @jamesrossmarsh ahead of our May Dig Day, to share more on what this project is about 🔥🪏 by @jamesrossmarsh

Fueling Futures, On and Off the Bike 🚴‍♂️

Big days are shaped in the moments that lead up to them. As the 2026 Cape Town Cycle Tour draws closer, we’re grateful to @jamesrossmarsh and the team at @specializedza for creating that space, hosting the Cereal Cyclists pre-event and backing this campaign with real intent.

The gathering is more than a meet-up. It’s a pause before the pressure, a chance to reconnect with the purpose behind the pedals. With @jamesrossmarsh preparing to take on the challenge himself, the commitment to this cause is both personal and lived out on the road.

Thank you for setting the tone ahead of race day and for standing with us as we ride toward impact that reaches far beyond the finish line.

There’s amazing pockets of super cool people, all around SA that love riding, building trails and sharing stoke far and wide. George is becoming one of those pockets. Such a sick gang of boys, sending it to the next level, progressing the sport and seeing their love of riding is unreal.

@haydsbrown , @hillbillies_mtb & @specializedgeorge_coimbra have harnessed this stoke and are forming a fertile soil for the future of trail riding. We as @specializedza are super excited to get our hands dirty and join them in a small trail build and experience their Stoke first hand.

Here’s to many more years of growth, love and doing life together! I love you! ❤️❤️❤️ taken in Stellenbosch, Western Cape by @jamesrossmarsh
