Happy 40th birthday to my husband, best friend, baby daddy, musical genius, and the person I have chosen to annoy for the rest of his natural life. ❤️

You’ve done a lot in 40 years. Made incredible music. Chased huge dreams. Accomplished things most people only talk about doing. Built a life and a career entirely around your talent and creativity. But your greatest accomplishment is obviously marrying me. A very close second is our daughter.

In all seriousness, watching you become a dad this year has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Seeing you love our little girl has somehow made me love you in different ways I didn’t know existed.

I’m so proud of the man you are, the life we’ve built, and this beautiful little family of ours.

Happy 40th, babe. I wouldn’t want to do any of this with anyone else.

8 years ago we were waking up on the morning of our wedding day. Today, we woke up and took our baby girl for a walk.

We’ve been together for 15 years now and have lived through so many of life’s seasons. We’ve grown, we’ve changed, and we’ve been tested. But through it all, it’s always been us.

Pressure makes diamonds, baby, and we are shining.

Happy First Father’s Day to the man who was always meant to be a dad.

Watching you become Ana Lucía’s father has been one of the greatest joys of my life. From the way you make her laugh with the silliest songs, to the way she instantly relaxes when she’s in your arms, to your jam sessions, it’s obvious that you’re already her favorite person.

You lead with so much love, and every day you show her what it means to feel safe, cherished, and endlessly supported. She may be too little to tell you yet, but I know one day she’ll realize just how lucky she is to call you Dad.

Thank you for every bottle, every diaper change, every dance around the living room, and every moment you make our little family feel whole.

Ana Lucía hit the jackpot with you.

I knew becoming a mother would change me. I just did not understand how completely.

Before having my daughter, I loved the mothers in my life deeply. My mom, my mother in law, my sister in law, aunts, cousins, friends.. But now I see them differently. I see the invisible labor. The constant double checking everything. The way mothers split themselves into a thousand pieces every single day and somehow still show up with warmth, patience, and love.

There is a quote by Elizabeth Stone that says, “Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” YUP.

Motherhood has made me softer and stronger at the same time. It has humbled me. Made me crazy and sane at the same time. There are moments that feel truly magical and miraculous, moments that feel lonely, moments that feel exhausting beyond words, and somehow all of them exist together. It is the most human thing I have ever experienced.

To my mom, thank you for all the things I never noticed before. The sleepless nights, the sacrifices you never announced, the emotional weight you carried so quietly. There are things I understand now that I simply could not before becoming a mother myself. I love seeing Ana light up when we FaceTime.

To my mother in law, thank you for raising the man I love and for welcoming me into your family with such generosity and care. I understand now how much of a mother’s love gets poured into the people around her long after her children are grown. The way you are with Ana is such a blessing.

To my sister in law, watching you as a mother gave me a glimpse of this world before I entered it myself. Now I see even more clearly the grace, patience, and resilience it takes every day. You’re a superhero.

And to all mothers, especially the ones who are tired, overstimulated, healing, doubting themselves, or carrying more than anyone realizes, I see you now in a way I never could before.

People say motherhood changes your life, but I think it changes your vision as well. Suddenly you can recognize love everywhere because you finally understand what it costs.

Over the moon doesn’t even begin to cover it.
I didn’t know love could feel like this—so immediate, so physical, so infinite. People say you won’t truly understand until you experience it and it’s true.

Giving birth was hard. It was humbling. (0/10 wouldn’t recommend lol) And somehow… it was also the greatest miracle I’ve ever experienced. When she was handed to me fresh out all I could say was, “woah”. I still can’t get over the fact I 3D-printed a whole human being. Wild. SACRED. Unreal.

Thank you to my husband who has gone above and beyond for us. He was such an incredible grounding support throughout not only the birth but the pregnancy as well. I couldn’t do this without you, my love.

My daughter, you are already rewriting me.
My heart is here in my arms.
And I am endlessly, overwhelmingly in love.

It’s you. It’s always been you. Our guiding light. Our grounding force. Our spark of creativity. I don’t know what I’d do without you. Thank you for all you do for us. Your work ethic is inspiring. Everyone who knows you is better for it. And if they really know you, they know how hilarious you are. Not to mention one of the kindest people on earth. Happy birthday, my king.
