✨Helping you age well, not hide it

POSTS STORIES REELS

As a Derm PA, I truly believe that having a consistent skincare routine lays the foundation for great skin. Yes, treatments are great but if you don’t have a good routine, the treatments are not going to last as long or be as effective

Think of in-clinic treatments like working out with a trainer and your daily skincare routine as the nutrition that keeps the results going; your daily routine is the backbone

Daily skincare supports healthy, resilient, and youthful-looking skin, whereas neglecting your skin can speed up signs of visible aging

Remember your future skin will thank you for the routine you build today ✨

Save this as your well-aging skincare roadmap or share with a friend who also wants to age well 💌

And tell me - what do you want me to dive deeper into next? Lmk in the comments 😊

Celebrated a milestone birthday...i turned the big 4-0!! 🎂

While some may think 40s is old (ahem my kids), i'm starting to realize it may actually be the best decade yet.

30s is usually when you're learning from mistakes and building up experience...40s feels different because you're still growing and learning except you have more confidence and perspective! They also say you care less about what other people think when you're in your 40s, hence a happier you 😄

So here's to a new chapter in my life 🥂

Thanks guys for following along 🫶🏻...pls share with me any life lessons you've learned or favorite aging quote!

With the holidays coming up, there’s plenty of sweets & treats going around so let’s talk about AGEs - advanced glycation end products!

Sugar can affect more than just your waistline…as I get older, I’ve become more mindful of my sugar intake for two reasons:

1. It’s not as easy to keep the weight off anymore 😅
2. Excess blood sugar can contribute to a process called glycation, where sugar molecules bind to proteins in your body, including collagen and elastin

Why should you care? Because over time, glycation can affect the structure and flexibility of collagen, potentially contributing to visible signs of skin aging

✨ What does this mean for your skin?
• Loss of firmness and elasticity
• Increased wrinkles over time
• Changes in skin texture

But before you throw away your trick-or-treat stash… 👻

One candy bar isn’t going to age your skin overnight. It’s your overall habits over time that matter.

Focus on consistent habits that support skin health:
• Choose balanced, nutrient-rich meals most of the time.
• Eat antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables.
• Wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.
• Prioritize sleep, hydration, and a consistent skincare routine.

So enjoy your treats in moderation, prioritize a balanced diet, wear your sunscreen, and focus on habits that support healthy skin long-term 💕

Save this and send it to your fellow sweet tooth friends! 🍭🍬🍫

Every day I pray that my lashes are sittin right 😂

Tubing mascara is all I’ve been using these days - it’s different from regular mascara that uses pigments, waxes and oils that coat and stick to your lashes

Tubing mascara uses flexible polymers that wrap around your lashes in tiny tubes so instead of having to scrub away stubborn mascara, you can use warm water and gentle pressure to help the tubes slide right off!

My recs:
@seacret tubing mascara uses - use code jamiekimderm20 for 20% off
@maybelline sky tubes

Have you tried tubing mascara?

Holding it down in healthcare 🪽

Funny story, an elderly patient called me an “angel” last week because I gave her a tetanus booster for a puncture wound, in addition to doing her skin exam

Yes I work in Dermatology, but as PA’s we are trained in general medicine first. Beyond treating skin conditions, we do our best to care for the whole patient - sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference 🤍

As a Dermatology PA who treats hair loss, I’ve talked to a lot of patients and come to realize that not everyone wants to be on a prescription medication for hair loss. They want alternative options. So it’s definitely exciting to see new approaches being developed

I’ve been trying RE:YOU’s Dual-Path Hair Revival Serum, which uses their proprietary NOVOGRO technology to target the hair follicle and support the scalp environment where hair grows

@getreyou hair serum is non-hormonal, pregnancy friendly, and breast feeding safe. Designed for women in all life stages. Can be used by men too!

90% of RE:YOU users saw thicker hair after just 3 months of use. Backed by a 90-day money back guarantee, what do you have to lose?

Comment “hair” below and I’ll send you the link to your DM

My daughter got me these @rhode eye patches- I had mentioned in passing that I wanted to try them and she remembered 🥹 love having a daughter 💕

#septemberdump #birthdaytreats #thisis42 #bday

The @rhode eye patches are made of hydrogel and have a cooling, depuffing effect! Wear them in the morning before putting on makeup or at night for tired eyes 🤍

Haven’t tried the @arenciaofficial cleanser yet but planning to soon - have you tried these products?

Picked this for my Sephora birthday gift @tower28beauty

This week marks PA Week and also my 12 year anniversary as a dermatology PA 💉

I’ve had the privilege of working in different specialties throughout my career, but dermatology has always been my true passion. It’s where I feel the most alive, the most fulfilled, and still intrigues me every day

One of the things I love most about being a PA is the flexibility this career has given me. It has allowed me to build a meaningful career, make a difference in patients’ lives, while also being present for my three kids 🤍🤍🤍

Twelve years in, I’m grateful for the path that brought me here and for a career that has allowed me to be both a clinician and a mother

Happy PA Week to all of my fellow PAs - thank you for all that you do 🩺 here’s to the privilege of caring for others and the flexibility to build a life around the career we love!

Well thank you maybe it’s the sunscreen 😅

#1 one cause of premature skin aging is ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun!

How do you respond when someone says you don’t look your age?

Your friendly neighborhood Derm PA here with a breast cancer awareness PSA 🎀

Because not every warning sign of breast cancer is a lump

Here are 4 skin changes I want you to know about:

🎀 persistent redness or swelling of the breast
🎀 skin dimpling that looks like an orange peel - yes, that’s actually called peau d’orange
🎀 new nipple inversion or changes in the nipple
🎀 persistent nipple scaling or crusting that just won’t go away

Most of these changes are NOT cancer, but if something is new or persistent, please get it checked

And send this to someone you love, because awareness is an act of care 💗
