I normally don’t post, but there are so many people all over the world who loved Rocky.
He was a joy spreader. He touched the lives of people he knew and strangers he met, simply by being who he was. ❤️
I honor his life by trying my best in integrating the lessons he constantly reminded me of: to find joy in the mundane, to love freely, to be curious, and to live without judgement and expectation.
He was an incredible journey dog, and I’m so grateful for all the places we went, the people we met, and the opportunities he had to experience human connection in such pure, heart-centered form.
Grief is a newer emotion for me. I first felt it when his brother Max left us two years ago. And through these deeply painful emotions, I’m learning that we still have choices. Do we care for ourselves, or do we abandon ourselves? Do we lean into love, or into habits that hurt us?
I am so grateful for the strength and purity of my love for my dogs. And because of that love, I choose self-love.
Rocky, thank you for reminding me how to live. How to love. How to find joy everywhere. And how to be fully present for this beautiful, precious life.
You will forever be loved. ❤️ by @jamiepatel08
