POSTS STORIES REELS

Four years ago, I decided to go back to school. Originally, I had plans to become an RN but decided to take the Social Work route for Mental Health and Perinatal Support Specialist (and possibly public health/policy). The year before graduating, I had plans to drop out. I wasn’t used to carrying a huge load: full time overnight job, studying to be certified in Minnesota as a doula, going to classes right after work, alongside being an adult responsible for how I make ends meet. At the end, I still manage to graduate with the highest of honors: Summa Cum Laude. This was a shock since I’ve never been good with school. Thank you Augsburg University for the education and the amazing professors who have helped to mold me before I enter the field. I’m beyond grateful for all of assistance to have made it this far!

My internships came with a lot of challenges but it held a mirror to my face when it comes to healing and becoming the professional I want to be. It gave clarity and solidified why I chose my major even when I had my own doubts. Social Work gets a negative connotation because people don’t know what it is. To make this short, I am beyond grateful for all the people who have helped me along the way. I don’t think I would have finished without those who supported me through it all. Thank you for allowing me to grow and to work on the parts of myself that needed growth. While this world is shifting, I want to be an example that anything is possible. I don’t normally announce most of my accomplishments but this is one I will celebrate.🌹(P.S- In remembrance to my grandpa who passed, I honor him with his flag because I know he would’ve been proud🇬🇾).

Shoutout to the amazing photographer @nolimitdidi for capturing these amazing photos!

Ethereal Goddess🌹
One of my favorite and most beautiful photo shoots that I got to be apart of that really captured the beauty that I sometimes forget I have within me. Thank you so much @forever.rachel for selecting me and empowering me. This was much needed during a time where I almost lost myself. To be able to look at these photos it’s like a constant reminder to myself to keep showing up for the little girl inside of myself who has always wanted to model but never felt pretty enough to do it. Calling in more opportunities to model again in the future that are in alignment to my spirit. ♉️✨

SULTRY HEELS & SNEAKERS SHOWCASE✨
First, shoutout to @richgambinoo @sultryheelandsneakers @trapking_vic @vicvibez19 for giving me this opportunity to do a solo because originally I wasn’t going to do one. This was not the choreo I planned on doing before but when he suggested to create one to my fav @teyanataylor I couldn’t say no. Secondly, thank you to the woman that recorded this and everyone who came. Although I’m big on perfecting myself I had to show myself Grace. I have not performed on stage since high school (5 years ago). I’ve only been dancing in heels for about 8/9 months now. BIG SHOUTOUT to my boo @itsvibrant_ for the ponytail! Y’all, she put in work to get this natural hair slayed and them braids poppin including the makeup along with @okayy.macy! @johsogood love you girl because you helped with everything backstage and more. @latanya.janteya be putting in work and supportin. Thank you for inspiring me too. Big things happening 😭 words can’t explain how proud I am even though some mistakes were made. Peace and Love ♥️
*P.S I do have another show coming up so I won’t be teaching class again next Saturday. ✊🏾 by @jamilla.sol

Starting Over, Again.
When you act on your impulses. I’ve been here before and now I know what works for me. Sometimes you gotta start fresh. 💖🌹 by @jamilla.sol

A memorable concert for me back in 2025. I’ve always been inspired by @in.iko and it was truly an honor to be able to see the performance live. Found these looking through my camera roll and couldn’t believe I didn’t post them during that time. The other artists did amazing too. Can’t wait for another concert♥️🌹 by @jamilla.sol

Exploring Sensual Confidence✨
Decided to go play in the studio today after class. Came out with a piece I’m still working on. Considering teaching this or whoever wants to learn it can just learn and tag me. I’m still working on camera confidence and execution. It’s been a while and I’m having to relearn. In the meantime, I will find another time to perfect it and post a cleaner version. (Shoutout to being more consistent with the gym and going to 612 Jungle’s classes. Definitely feel a lot more confident in my body because normally I’m in sweatpants). by @jamilla.sol

Usher & Chris Brown 2026 Concert ✨
An honor to attend even though I had work right after. Speaking it into existence that one day this will be me dancing on stage with my favorite artists. Going to these concerts is my way of manifesting. by @jamilla.sol

The Sensual Movement Academy🌹
Welcome to my new series of me reteaching myself how to perform as a professional dancer. I chose this piece as the first one to challenge myself. I don’t know the choreographer personally but every creation that she makes inspires me to get better. Obviously, there are areas for improvement. I can definitely tell where I got in my head a bit and retention started to slip but this is why practice makes progress. My goal is to face my fears on camera and hold myself accountable to my dreams of one day performing on a big stage with other amazing dancers and artists. This is for me to put myself out there and to showcase the amazing work of other choreographers. Their instagram will be tagged if you want to follow as well. For the past two years I’ve been tucking my gift of movement away to focus on school but this year I would like to change that. So, thank you if you made it this far and I appreciate the support. (I may not post weekly since I am in grad school).

First Concert🌹Kendrick & SZA
One of the best so far! It was an honor to see some of the professional dancers I follow in action! Crazy part is my section got moved and we would’ve gotten better views (sec 105 to sec 113). Blessed for this experience! by @jamilla.sol
