Donna, there aren’t enough words to describe how painful losing you is. You weren’t just one of my closest friends, you were my sister. And I’m still trying to pick up the pieces of what life will look like without you.

Twenty pictures don’t even begin to feel like enough to capture the countless memories, laughs and adventures we shared.

In the middle of all this pain, I’m also trying to hold on to gratitude. Just a month ago, I had the honor of standing beside you as you married the love of your life. I’m so grateful I got to witness that joy and be by your side for such a beautiful moment.

I’m so grateful for how much time we got together this year. From Tulum to Barbados and all the moments in between, we got to celebrate, laugh, dance, and simply be together. Looking back now, that time feels like such a divine gift.

You always showed up for me. You went above and beyond, time and time again. And I’m so grateful that, in this season, we got to show up for each other.

This year has held some of the highest highs and now a low I could never have imagined. I don’t know how I’m supposed to do life without you, Donna. But in the middle of all this grief, I’m trying to hold tightly to just how blessed I am that I got to do so much of it with you.

So thank you, sis, for all the lessons, adventures, and memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I love you forever.
