Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and kind words! 🤍 I’m so excited to spend the start of my summer with @houstonballetacademy , and even more excited for the new journey I’ll be embarking on next week at @nbs_enb . I can’t wait to see what this new chapter of sixteen has in store. Much love, Jamie 🤍🖖🏾 by @jamisonwhitley_
Happy national dance day to the art form that has given me a thousand ways to say what words never could!🤍 by @jamisonwhitley_
Leaving Toronto with an overflowing heart of love, gratitude, and humbleness. I can’t begin to express how much I’ve grown in such a short time; nor can I begin to thank the faculty, teachers, and friends who poured so much into me and made this experience unforgettable. Ms. Daumec, I’m beyond grateful to have been your student these past two weeks. I’ve never had a teacher who has given me so much patience, care, and attention to detail. The way you challenge me, believe in me, and teach with such grace has impacted my dancing in ways I’ll carry with me forever. Mr. Tomash, although my time with you was brief, your encouragement left a lasting mark on me. The confidence you placed in me and the way you spoke to me made me believe in myself a little more. I don’t think you realize how much those words meant to me, but I know I’ll carry them with me long after I leave. To all the friends I made along the way; oh, the places you will all go🥹. I’m so grateful for each of you and for the abundance of love that I still find myself struggling to comprehend how I came to receive that im leaving with. Until next time Toronto!🤍 @nbs_enb by @jamisonwhitley_
black history, present tense. by @jamisonwhitley_
Out of all my years performing in Spring Showcase, this one has been the most memorable and fulfilling. From Sparrow to Studies I first learned in Level 1, now doing steps I couldnt even fathom at the age of 7 on stage, I feel so grateful to grow in an environment that truly shapes both mind and body.🤍 . Love to all, @houstonballetacademy @houstonballet by @jamisonwhitley_
