Chat, what do you do if in the midst of an insane season, one of your favorite humans asks you to do this super dreamy and also wildly expansive project (with a rapidly approaching deadline), and after a week in the studio recording, writing, Triple-Tasking, etc. they’re like “come on the bus, and let’s finish this project”, but/and... you also have a couple of cameras and love documenting things / are “extra”, so you YOLO so hard that you don’t have time to post/process, but DO now have a 1 TB drive full of footage and ProTools files, yet somehow NEVER TOOK A PHOTO of the two of you? Thanks for the mammories, @kttunstall. You are a total wonder. Thanks for letting me tag along. by @jamlin

I still can’t believe they let me weave together this quilt of ROCK to announce the Nashville Super Bowl. Thank you, @elizabetholms and @visitmusiccity for the chance to volunteer as tribute and shred for District 615. 🫡 🎸 taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @jamlin

I don’t imagine I’ll ever be able to adequately convey whatever happened at the Gorge this weekend. 48 hours before the first night I was in a hospital bed — but @brandicarlile doesn’t get to assemble every hero of my life in one canyon, and not expect me to claw my way there. So I did. And I think I’m a new incarnation on the other side of it.

Echoes Through the Canyon was three days of music, memory, lineage, and full-circle moments. Brandi Carlile, @indigogirlsmusic , @bonnieraittofficial , @wynonnajudd , @imwithherband . @sarabareilles , @thehighwomen , @sherylcrow @brittneyspencer,@reallindaperry

These artists weren’t just names on a lineup. So many of them were part of how I first started to understand music, identity, courage, grief, joy, belonging — and the strange permission a song can give you to become more fully yourself.

There were multiple peak lifetime moments. Personal encounters with heroes... All soundtracked by songs I’ve carried for most of my life.

Voice? Gone. Heart? So full. Soul? Somehow recharged. Thank you Brandi, Catherine, @phil_hanseroth , @timhanseroth, @_graceh, and the whole team and crew for building a world where all of these threads could meet in one place — and for throwing a once-in-a-blue-moon event... and somehow letting me witness it!!?! taken in the Gorge Amphitheatre by @jamlin

Made it a good long stretch (my whole life long) without an ER visit or an overnight hospital stay — then somehow checked both boxes on the full moon of a holiday weekend. (Which I hear is a great time to be in a hospital 😅)

Everyone at St. Thomas was genuinely so kind, and I’m beyond grateful. Also, in what can only be described as a miracle, my parents happened to be coming to Nashville to pick up the pup — and found me in a sorry state. What turned out to be an intense reaction to a medication that spiraled into three days of relentless 🤮 and a heart rate hanging around 35… I’m on the mend now and feeling lucky on a few fronts. 🙏 by @jamlin

Well, I woke up and just happened to catch this music I made playing on the news this morning during this press conference. 🙃😆 Surreal! 🏈🎉
Thanks to director and executive producer @elizabetholms, I got to write/perform/record the music for the announcement spot letting everyone know Nashville is hosting the Super Bowl in 2030.

And Shout out to my dad, who, when I mentioned all the guitarists I was thinking about calling, asked why I wouldn't play it... and I didn't have a good answer, so I took a swing at it! All instruments tracked at @thisismoxe including a pretty unhinged amp option matrix in the big room, and at least one hyper-focused and only mildly indulgent/exploratory snare recording session one night.

Grateful to make something with this many Nashville people in the credits! Full credits on Elizabeth's post — it's a long list of folks doing great work. by @jamlin

Grateful to be part of the Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing Steering Committee—and to be in the room with women whose work has shaped so many of the records I love.

Getting to serve this community alongside people like Ann Mincieli, Marcella Araica, Terri Lyne Carrington, and Cheryl Pawelski is pretty incredible.

Thanks to the Recording Academy and the P&E Wing team—including Maureen and the staff—for highlighting these women helping shape this side of the industry.

Production and engineering are some of the most invisible parts of music —and for women in those roles, even more so.

Proud to contribute, and focused on creating more pathways forward.

Happy Women’s Month!

We’re back!!!! I can’t believe it’s been 7 years of getting to play with this crew at @justwannaweekend. If you’re in the bubble this weekend, I’ll be sitting in with the @thecarlilefamilyband and, per tradition, bringing the rock on the 🤘“Night of the Living 90’s” set Sunday night. 🎸 Let’s do this! taken in Barcelo Maya Riviera by @jamlin
