‚The Listening Room‘
240x190cm | acrylic on canvas
.
Opening up the space for all these different parts of yourself to come together
To reflect, to listen, to be seen
Who have been waiting to be illuminated
-
Time has come
To acknowledge, to accept, to forgive
So you can rise again
Keeping these parts within your heart as a gentle light,
Guiding you on your further path
.

Fragments layered on fragments ⏳

I’ve been in full exploration mode these last couple of months, working on a new body of work for a show with @magikaexperience in Antwerp next month.

Here are a few details from the first work of the series. More soon :-)

Meet the artists of Forget Me Not.

Jana Neumann is a painter whose practice is grounded in embodied experience and the evolving language of the feminine. Her work develops through long periods of inquiry, material exploration and lived transformation, allowing inner states to shape form, surface and scale.

Her recent work explores introspection, vulnerability and inner revolution, creating paintings that feel deeply personal while resonating beyond the individual.

After studying Visual Design at HAW Hamburg, Jana began sharing her paintings publicly in 2022 and has since transitioned fully into her studio practice. Her work has been commissioned by private collectors and exhibited internationally. She is currently developing a new body of work informed by extended studio periods in Ibiza, Lisbon and Mexico City, focusing on natural materials, texture and large-scale compositions.

Forget Me Not opens at National 55, Antwerp, from 16 to 18 October 2026

Studies for a new series I’m starting.
Distilling my work into smaller fragments and exploring different mediums before moving into the larger piece. A way to get clear on the energy I want it to hold.
