Midsummer and it’s bittersweet!! We’re finally finding time to get to the lake a couple of hours before sunset, finally biking to the farmers market (which reminds me that I need to do something with the tomatoes and fresh dill that I bought…), finally sitting on the patio at sunset…ugh and I just want to soak up every last second! Feeling very grateful for life and all the blessings in the midst of all the chaos! by @janaroach

The other side of the sunroom! Of course 90% of the things you see here are thrifted or secondhand and I think that’s why I love it all so much! It’s a little bit lived in before I get it and it adds so much character. Too much new just gets blah! taken in Kalispell, Montana by @janaroach

Did you know that Tanner @beckandcap is still making furniture? Unfortunately the fire wiped out his dry logs for any carved pieces, but he’s equally as talented at pieces like this!! Tables, islands, consoles, dressers…he can make it all. I lovvvvvvve this design too! Thanks for the awesome photos of it @mckennamunden 🤩 taken in Kalispell, Montana by @janaroach

I sit at our dining table most days when I’m working and this is what I see. It’s incredible!! Living room of my dreams (it still does not feel real. Sometimes it feels like we should not be living here lol!) — and if you swipe over you can see the before. 🤯🤯 From a run-down, abandoned brewery built in 1892 to a residence with soooo much charm and character. This kitchen made it to national television. 📺✨

Featured on #HomeReimagined hosted by Vern Yip on @magnolianetwork, @HBOMax, and @discoveryplus, this remarkable Montana transformation turned a historic brewery into a warm, functional family home filled with character, craftsmanship, and intention.

The heart of this kitchen is a beautiful statement piece, an #ILVE Nostalgie 48” Dual Fuel Range, bringing handcrafted Italian performance, timeless design, and everyday functionality to the space.

What makes this project even more meaningful is the story behind it.

After a devastating workshop fire threatened years of hard work and craftsmanship, Jana and Tanner Roach continued building forward, ultimately helping create a home that would go on to be featured on national television.

Proof that great design is about more than beautiful spaces.

It’s about resilience, vision, and creating something meaningful that lasts.

We think the peanut shells and gum wrappers were there because they used the posts as little trash stashing spots before they were welded on in 1892! @veyna_kustoms did such an incredible job with our new stair railing! When we found out we had to remove the original staircase, I was so bummed to lose it. but we came up with the idea of using the original staircase posts and having Tim weld a new railing! Snippets from my camera roll lately:

1. the light that comes into our living room in unreal! The photos don’t do it justice honestly

3. I’m so glad we hoarded these windows. I found them in missoula when I was there as an extra in Yellowstone (and no I didn’t make it in..but I did stand right next to Kevin Costner!)

4. I’ve been thinking that I need some rondel glass in the transoms in our hallway 👀

5. Even though it’s going to take a few more years for the landscaping to fill out..it is so fun seeing everything wake up! These trees get pink flowers! I wish they stuck around longer

6. Mother’s Day was the best!! Life’s been pretty stressful lately, so this was a really special day to me. Love my family so much!

7. We went to the design market in High Point and finished up early, so we drove to the coast and stayed at the cutest hotel in Wilmington, NC! @trailborn_surfandsound

8. @verellenfurniture was our favorite showroom and it was our last stop in high point! The vibes were so so good, and we got to connect with our new Montana pals @1889waxlighting (which we now carry at Honey!)

9. I made this salad in 30 minutes and it was so GOOD!!! I’m off of dairy now so I’d have to omit the burrata but I’d say it is still worth making

One of the corners of the house that didn’t get finished before we filmed our episode for @magnolianetwork was the landing at the top of the stairs leading into my office! We didn’t have the budget for electrical up here by the time we got to it haha so I put in the Zuru lamp from @residencesupply and it’s THE perfect finishing touch! Sculptural, floor-to-ceiling magic, and it’s adjustable so I can move it from room to room if I need. I didn’t realize how much it needed a lamp instead of a hanging light fixture, so I’m happy that was the only choice! This landing is the perfect backdrop for a built-in bookshelf, and it hides the electrical lines that run from the brick to the office. @tannerdroach was too busy orchestrating every part of the remodel and working until 3 AM to get things done, so we ordered 3 separate bookcases from Amazon (making sure to find one that was made out of real wood..)! We put them together, added trim to the face to make it look like one single unit and added crown and base trim (that has yet to be painted haha)! I really love how it turned out. Now maybe you can help me settle a debate: art hanging on the outside of the bookcase…cool or no?!
