Morning doesn’t arrive everywhere at once. It travels.

It reaches Melbourne first, then Singapore, then Colombo and Mumbai, then Dubai, Nairobi, London and New York. And in every one of those cities, the moment the sky turns grey, someone laces up and goes.

They’ll never meet. Different streets, different languages, the same small, stubborn decision.

On 13 December, for one morning, the time zones stop mattering. Runners from around the world start together on Galle Face Green, Colombo.

Make this the year you become part of it.

🎟️ Register for the Janashakthi Life ICA International Half-Marathon 2026 via the link in bio.

Sometimes, the quietest struggles hide behind the brightest smiles.

Not everyone who is struggling will show it. Some may keep smiling, keep showing up, and keep saying they’re okay, even when they’re not.

A little understanding, a listening ear, and knowing someone cares can make it easier to open up.

Because everyone deserves to be seen, heard & valued.

A legacy is built through vision, strengthened by people, and sustained by purpose.

As Janashakthi Life celebrates 32 years, Mr. C. T. A. Schaffter, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Janashakthi Group, reflects on the vision behind the organisation, the people at the heart of its journey, and his aspirations for the future.

The alarm goes off at 4:45. Nobody is making them do this. 🌒

No coach is waiting. No one would notice if they stayed in bed. And yet, somewhere in the world, a runner is lacing up in the dark, chasing a goal only they fully understand.

Three editions in, we know one thing: every runner has a reason.

This is the first chapter of our new film series celebrating the people behind the miles, the early mornings, and the moments that make running matter.

Every December, runners from around the world meet at one starting line, beside the Indian Ocean, as Colombo wakes up.

Are you one of them?👇

What time does your running alarm go off? Tell us in the comments, then tag the person who would be out there running with you.

As part of our continued focus on holistic employee wellbeing, we hosted the latest session in our wellbeing series, “Lending a Hand”.

The session focused on building awareness around recognising signs of depression and emotional distress, starting supportive conversations, and knowing when to encourage someone to seek professional support.

With the many demands of everyday life, knowing how to offer the right support can make a meaningful difference to the people around us, in both our work and personal lives.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Kusumanjalee Thilakarathne of FPA Sri Lanka.

Somewhere tonight, someone is keeping their phone close.

They’re waiting for a call from a hospital, the one that says a match has been found.

For most people on that list, the call never comes. In 2024, 173,727 transplants were performed worldwide, made possible by 47,180 deceased donors. Even so, they met less than 10% of the global need.

One donor can save up to 8 lives, and improve up to 75 more through tissue donation.

That’s why every Janashakthi Life ICA International Half-Marathon race kit carries an organ donor card, with your consent. It sits quietly beside your jersey, your bib and the medal you’re about to earn.

Because this conversation shouldn’t end at the finish line.

Take it home. Share it with your family. Talk about it with your friends. Wherever in the world home is.

On 13 December, you’ll run 21.1KM, 10KM, 5KM or 2KM. The card asks for something much shorter. One conversation.
