Life is a big game, so you gotta play it with a big heart.

I grew up shredding a little hill behind one of the many apartment complexes my mom would post us at for a month or so in Portland. My mom was always gone leaving me alone for too long, but it made for some clever self-teaching and entertainment. One day, in particular, I decided to paint “tattoos” all over my body and hold a Coolio concert on the hill before I’d bomb it barefoot in my panties and new tats. I belted “Fantastic Voyage,” “Gangsters Paradise,” and just because I knew every lyric, ‘Red Red, Wine.
Coolio, Mary J. Blige, TLC, Alanis Morissette ... the 90s and late 80s music lyrics hit home for me. My chosen little sister AT recently passed away, and we would blare Coolio every chance we got driving down PCH. Lolo would do the same. I have these memories with music and loved ones that will make me forever grateful for musicians, writers, and creatives that tell their stories.

Brain fog is a real
Writers block
And Self-sabotage.
These things are real.

These experiences, in my experience, come up right before goodness is about to open and flow like a backed up hose. These blows and blocks sometimes are mental or some times real people.
Keep going forward, work out the weight of your own fear, insecurity or take note of what needs transformation. Being human is messy and the greatest works of art come from the messiest beginnings... keep going.
Than tell me of your breakthrough.
Tell me of the times you thought you’d jump down the cliff but you flew!
Tell me and the world so others can connect and rise too.
Let’s us not be blocked by fear but motivated by the awareness of what it can do for us.

I am Ever learning that play is very much a form of meditation and a method of healing practice.
This moment at the Van Nuys airport, shot by my buddies @j_howiee & @samwindell brought us pure joy and taught us so much about a new gimbal that holds the drone while driving for easy, steady cam use. These guys are constantly creating, innovating, and creating something incredible. I admire that while working at Drone Dudes. It was such a dream wake up. The past few months, I’ve been going through massive shifts, and despite the changes, good things are happening. I’m excited to continue living the best life of my life with incredible human creators🙏🏼🤍 I appreciate these days, this life, humans, shifts (no matter how hard or how the grieving process happens).
Mantras and actions I've learned from friends this past week include:: Do less while showing up fully, laugh through the crazy times, and hold space for yourself and others. Because there’s allways supportive nurturing as you fall into trusting your path. “I all•ways got you; you know that, right?!” 🤍🙏🏼♾️

I’ve been struck by lightning 18x years ⚡️🤍🐌🌰
This has been the most joyful experience yet. A full reset has been on my prayer list. It’s hard to believe this adventure lasts only a few days each year, yet leaves one of the greatest impacts on my life and the lives of so many others.

The creative expression here is beyond words. To those who build, engineer, produce, and bring these incredible structures, stages, musicians, and bright hearted human beings together: you are why I keep coming back. Y’all work so hard through every weather shift, curveball, and plan change, and somehow continue to create something extraordinary. Thank you. 🥰🤍🙏🏽

This year, I got to arrive with my arms and heart wide open alongside some of the @primalmovesvenice fam. We held it down and hope to have the whole crew there next year. 💪🏽♡ Thank you for the big dreams, deep drop ins, heartfelt hip shakes, and serious silliness.

@heatherleighlo & @dedeflemming continue to embody family, care, and play. Thank you. 🙏🏽 These side quests are a whole operation. The brothers, the Do Lab family, truly turn imagination into reality.

I know how fortunate this experience is. It has sparked inspiration in nearly every job and chapter of my life. Leave it better. Leave it beautiful.

This year, I fell in love all over again with this magical self of mine while filling my cup with some of my OGs, new Gs, and all the homies. ⚡️🙏🏽🤍

Brené Brown, Atlas of the Heart, writes, “Choosing to be curious is choosing to be vulnerable because it requires us to surrender to uncertainty. We have to ask questions, admit to not knowing, risk being told that we shouldn’t be asking, and, sometimes, make discoveries that lead to discomfort.”

Continuing to try, even when I feel awkward, clumsy, messy, and out of control in my movements (or in life in general), is an incredibly humbling process. It takes showing up day by day to build skill, relearn patterns, welcome a new headspace, and discipline the body into a stronger movement practice.

I’m doing the best I know how, taking this time with dedicated trainers who welcome play while also maintaining focus and drive.

For $22,500 April 1899 H J Whitley purchased 480 acres of what the LA Times called “a well-known and highly improved lemon grove in the Cahuenga Valley”

“The father of Hollywood” was toasted at a banquet saying if life gives you lemons make lemonade.

A quote that’s used to portray overcoming adversity is more about a developer paving over lemon trees.

Reminded me of a post that included the lesser known full versions of popular abbreviated quotes.

Without the completion of the quote it leaves the meanings twisted. Half truths sometimes feel like a full lie.

When I was 12, my dad supported me in finally taking on a solo dance. The big starz dance team wouldn’t take me on; I wasn’t designed for team choreography, so my dance instructor, Tiffany, took me under her wing. She directed a dance to Cher’s “ Life After Love “ that meshes with Aerosmith’s “I don’t want to miss a thing.” This song got me so connected to lyrical dance as self-expression & healing.
At my first STARZ dance competition as a solo performer across the western US, I finally began to learn my strength and gain confidence through support, dedication, and movement!
I placed first for State Queen Dance Stars.
Then went to nationals.
It was a huge audience and televised...

The pressure between my manager and her distaste for whatever judgments she had of me against her daughter’s performance was overwhelming. Right before my performance, she screamed at me in the locker room, slapped me, and my dance instructor took me out of there. Moved me to the side of the dance judges. Gave me a deep pep talk, helped me refocus, “find the joy,” and I was on. Halfway through, as the song shifted from Aerosmith to Cher- I FROZE! In front of hundreds of people in this massive gym. Then my dad got my focus - out of everyone, his face! His pride. His love, discipline, and belief were everything…

So I shifted and, yes, they ALL SAW. Judges and all…That focus on my dad and our connection brought me back to the present. I forgot the choreography and shifted into a playful, new improv that I had been holding back from and PERFORMED! The song ended, and I remember looking up from the ground to the crowd- they were cheering so loudly. It was an explosion of celebration, and I smiled so big. I ran to my dad and instructor and started to cry hard. A mix of emotions, I thought I screwed it all up for everyone, I thought I disappointed and shamed my team, my manager, my instructor, and my dad by freezing. But I was met with celebration!!
