In Rachel Greenlaw’s dark fantasy novel The Ordeals, twenty-year-old illusionist Sophia DeWinter seeks to escape a cruel blood bond with her oppressive uncle, “the Collector,” by competing for admission to Killmarth College. To secure her freedom, she must survive “the Ordeals”—a series of brutal, deadly magical trials—and team up with Alden Locke, a skilled but guarded botanist. As a hidden killer begins picking off fellow competitors outside of the official challenges, Sophia must navigate dangerous magic, shifting alliances, and a growing romantic spark to stay alive. #bookstagram #booktok #theordeals @rachelgreenlaw_ #academiafantasy by @janeeyreheads

Oooooo friends!!!! The new Sense & Sensibility movie has been on my radar for months. It’s my absolute favorite #janeausten novel. #senseandsensibility has allllll the hallmarks of the perfect romance novel. I’ve always been a huge a fan of Colonel Brandon. Is anyone else making this movie a priority this weekend? #bookstomovie by @janeeyreheads

Listen y’all, lately I have been letting bookstagram influence my reading decisions. This is not always a bad thing, however, I’ve been reading a lot of books that are not bringing me joy. And frankly, life is far too short to waste hours and hours of your time on things you do not enjoy. This is just a reminder to everybody: read what you love. Yes, challenge yourself, read things outside of your comfort zone. But at the end of the day, when you need to fulfill your heart, and your mind, read whatever makes you happy. #bookstagram #booktok #readwhatmakesyouhappy #tbr by @janeeyreheads

I can’t keep quiet anymore! I received this beautiful book in the mail: A Brontë Botany 🌱 , along with a few treasures and I’m completely smitten! This beautifully illustrated book contains flowers, plants and vegetation prominent in the Brontë books. I was even given a guide to a Bronte botany treasure hunt! How fun!!!! This vibrant bookmark is my new favorite keepsake and the card that came with it has me itching to write a love note 💕. @betweenstarsandsoil @abrontebotany #booktok #bookstagram #abrontëbotany #bronte by @janeeyreheads

A Tale of Two Cities adaptation: 5/5 ⭐️’s. Can we give a quick shout out to #kitharington for his incredible and emotional performance???? Y’all, I was bawling at the end of this series. I loved how they weaved this story together much like Mr. Dickens did - it felt authentic to the original story. I loved this so much I’ll be re-watching it over the holidays! Adaptations are hard - I can’t imagine how difficult the process is for the writers and directors to decide what stays and what goes when taking a classic novel and adapting it to screen. But I know one thing: I don’t like too much deviation from the book. #eastofeden fell flat for me. This is not at all a reflection of the actors - I think THEY were brilliant. But the story changes rather bothered me a bit. #johnsteinbeck #tvadaptation by @janeeyreheads

Oh the places we read……. This time I took myself out for a lovely meal. Hubby’s gone for the weekend, kid is having a sleepover, so mama has some uninterrupted time to relax. ❤️ #booktok #bookstagram #whereweread #womenreading #theordeals by @janeeyreheads

How do you listen to #audiobooks ? I’m what you might call an “active” listener. I have opinions. I have no problem yelling them out loud, especially if I’m in a car. But around my house… it’s more like grumbles and deep sighs 😂. #bookstagram #booktok #listeningtobooks by @janeeyreheads

The verdict is in: I love the new adorable aluminum kindle. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Super light, can get tucked in a tiny purse, you barely know it’s there. Bright and fast - everything you love about the old kindle but lighter! @amazonkindle @amazon #kindle #bookstagram #booktok #amazonkindle #newkindle by @janeeyreheads

The new 6-inch flush-front Kindle hits a sweet spot for portability and build quality. Moving away from plastic for the upgraded metal back makes the device feel distinctly premium while keeping that tiny, pocket-friendly footprint. #booktok #bookstagram #kindle #amazonkindle @amazon @amazonkindle by @janeeyreheads
