It got me reflecting on decisions made, and how they impact our lives and lives people we love…
In your 20s find your tribe, those people that loved you even when you weren’t you quite yet. Join your families in such a way so that when your child finds the one that they believe they will love forever, she is introduced to these friends knowing that she will be loved wholly and completely. These are kind of people that will host a beautiful garden party rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. These are the relationships that teach that praying first is the most important thing. What happens is that your son embraces these values so strongly that he finds him a woman whose dad loves her enough to ask your son “why her”? His answer is simple and real, it’s because he has people in his life that model married love that has spanned decades. He has witnessed real love that has been strong and true through the laughter and the fun and through the hard times. This has made him certain that she is the woman that will give him a lifetime with a love like that. Because of all of this it was so easy to spend the weekend in the beauty of the moment while witnessing love that is real. To participate in a joyous celebration that is stunning and breathtaking and beyond anything imagined.
It seems to me that God’s love is a lot like all of this.
