Enjoying these colors as long as I can! by @janetboltz

Marathon training doesn’t feel like a grind when the weather is so great and the scenery is so pretty day after day. Five weeks out from @runcim262 and 21 more miles logged. by @janetboltz

A great run around Belle Isle and some of the riverfront with @downriver_runner to wrap what’s been an amazing October filled with perfect fall days. Thanks to Lisa for humoring me and running 9 miles purely for the sake of letting me hit 250 miles for the month. I don’t really even care about specifics for monthly mileage, but I am a sucker for those nice round numbers if I’m right on the verge. 😄 by @janetboltz

Another good evening for some miles and fun sights. by @janetboltz

Lots of pretty things to see tonight at Stony Creek @mimetroparks by @janetboltz

Between the fog, fall colors, and fuzzy friends, it was heavenly out there for both running and photography this morning. by @janetboltz

I went out to River Bends Park this morning in hopes of seeing some good fall colors… and I sure got them. by @janetboltz

I got a chance to write a blog post that recaps the fun I had running the @freepmarathon’s Wonder Challenge last weekend. I ran three solid races and really enjoyed covering 17.2 miles throughout Detroit and Windsor. As usual, my post is loaded with tons of photos - some of the beautiful race courses, and action shots courtesy of the race.

Lake Norcentra Park and Clinton River Trail for tonight’s scenery. by @janetboltz

Enjoying this stretch of perfect fall days. by @janetboltz

I definitely had fun running the half at the @freepmarathon today, as captured in a pretty great race photo. When a coworker is one of the course photographers, it can result in a memorable moment!

As we approached the Ambassador Bridge during the sunrise, any thoughts of running a specific time felt secondary. I kept thinking about how cool it was that we got to do this. That part of the bridge is closed so we can run over to Canada, that the awesome people there greet us so warmly, and that the tunnel is closed to vehicles while we run back to Detroit. It really is a special experience and pretty awesome that it’s our hometown race.

The beautiful morning with cool temps certainly helped me run a solid race. I was also very grateful to @run_detroit for providing a great VIP experience. Although cool temps are good for running, it sure helped to have a warm and comfortable place to get out of the cold before and after the race. This was the second year I took advantage of their offer to gain access as thanks for purchasing shoes. If we support our local running stores, they can do great things like this in return to support the running community.

I had a blast racking up the miles around Detroit this weekend and having my race tracker loaded with tons of people I know who did big things as well. I will see if I get in on the fun again next year when the race celebrates its 50th anniversary! by @janetboltz

Still thinking about how good @rogerclyneandthepeacemakers were the other night at @themagicbagmi 🤘 by @janetboltz
