One of my favorite things about Latin dance is how you’re always meeting amazing new people. ❤️

Every night brings new faces, new connections, lots of laughs, and of course, plenty of dancing! 💃🕺✨

And with outdoor salsa season slowly coming to an end, I’m definitely going to soak up every last dance under the open sky. ☀️❤️

So grateful for this beautiful community and all the incredible people it brings into my life. 🥰

About last weekend! 💃🕺✨

We’re so grateful the weather was in our favor. The sun came out, the evening turned out beautifully, and Casa de Frida ended up being very busy that day! ☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for dinner. We’re sorry for the delay in getting everyone served, and we truly appreciated your patience and understanding. We definitely enjoyed our dinner after the wonderful dance lessons!

Thank you to Nathy, Luis and the wonderful team for another amazing collaboration and for sharing your beautiful, authentic space with our community.

A very special thank you to Kristian and Anthony at @SWEATStudio for once again providing us with such a wonderful space for our lessons and performances. Your continued support means so much.

A huge shout-out as well to our incredible instructors, dancers, and artists:

Jane and Grizzli your Cuban dance performance was great. You guys rocked it!

Jackson and Paige your beautiful Kizomba demonstration was incredible!

Bree and James thank you for bringing everyone onto the dance floor with your amazing fun beginner Bachata lesson.

It is always such an honor to work alongside so many talented instructors, dancers, artists, and community partners. We truly appreciate everyone who donated their time and shared their talents with us.

We are also incredibly grateful for our Latin social dancers and the community for coming together, and to all the new faces who joined us and became part of the community. Seeing familiar friends alongside new dancers is what makes these nights so special.

And once again, a big thank you to our wonderful volunteers Mika and Kayla for giving your time and helping with check-in. Your help behind the scenes is always so appreciated! 😍🙏

Once we have finalized the total amount raised from our three recent events in support of Foundry and Canadian mental health, we’ll be sharing the final total in the next few days.

We’re back Saturday, September 12, 2026 for another evening of Latin dancing, great food, music, and community!

If the weather doesn’t cooperate after dinner, we’ll move the lessons indoors for one hour to SWEAT Studio (529 Lawrence Ave, Kelowna), then head back to Casa de Frida for social dancing.
