Well... Opening day is just 10 days away, so this little fella either didn't receive the memo or it's just too cocky...

And that's a wrap for summer... 1) Shooting the IFAA 900 Round with this pack of youngsters, shot as a guest for 877 with 23x. 2) At practice with Dad calling the arrows. 3) Shooting OTA 900 Round with Dad cheering. 4) Got 2nd place with 871 in the OTA 900. 5) Chilling at the Carnation picnic and watching the parade. 6) Shooting the OAA 900 Round, still Bowhunter class. Big shout-out to @completehuntersoutlet for fixing my bow (@dartonarchery ) and putting a neat @joeys_bowstrings set in record time. 7) Last arrow of the round and last of the 2025-2026 season. Shout-out to @matt.vpm for getting this shot. Don't laugh at my bulky boots, the field was muddy... 8) Made it to the podium this year... 9) 1st place and new state record for my class 😊 That's all folks.. This is my dad, he is 77 y.o. and he just picked up Duolingo last night. He set a goal of 20 minutes a day in an effort to become fluent in English and have a fluid conversation in English with his grandkids. Now he is in my office studying nonstop... 🤓 by @jangeldd

Last weekend I shot the 2026 OAA Field Shoot. I did pretty decent considering I used a setup I started putting together a month ago and I kept tweeking things like the bow grip the day before. Unfortunately, my shooting class (Bowhunter) keeps shrinking 😔. Next stop, 900 Round and wrapping up the outdoor season. 1) that's me bragging on my last target. 2) last year I did 517 and 37x, so let's call that even. 3) preparation for the 900 Round: 40 yd pin ready. That's all folks ... Hasta aquí mi reporte ... by @jangeldd

This photo was taken almost a year ago, during the 2025 OAA Field Round. Dad had enough hiking after seven targets 🤭, I hope you can make it to the next one. Feliz Día del Padre 🫂 by @jangeldd

Last weekend I had a chance to shoot the PSAA SW Target Regional as a guest at Chieftain Archery Club in Kensington, PA. Had a couple of nice clean ends, although I noticed a pattern in my arrow grouping, the class I shoot in does not allow any changes in your setup once the round starts so I just kept going and got a decent 870/900 and 32x. Overall, I'm happy with these results 😁🏹 That's all folks... by @jangeldd

Getting ready for the next event, I was almost ready and I killed most of my arrows getting my 100 yd mark, so... Back to square one... 1) Got one about the right height, struggled with high and low hits and the trees around that bail... 2) Step one for a fresh batch of arrows. 3) Fast forward to a complete dozen. 4) Getting ready for testing and practice at the range. 5) Fresh batch flying nicely at 60 yd, but there's always that one rebel... 🫩 That's all... Enjoy your summer!!!! -- by @jangeldd

An update from my post from March 22th... My 57x were enough to make it to first place in the NFAA Sectional, Great Lakes; unfortunately that one point I dropped placed me 13th nationwide for the Bowhunter Freestyle Class. Let's hope for the best for next year 🤓 -- Una actualización de mi publicación del 22 de marzo...

This came in by mail yesterday... Last year, I ended two points behind the top shooter of my class in the Indoor National League. This year, I cut the difference to two points, let's see if I make it to one next year. 😬 by @jangeldd
