Sophisticated warm fall vibes #design #interiordesign #inspiration by @jangeorge.studio

Our beautiful home and studio for so many years. More than a place to showcase what we love, it was most of all a meeting place for the most wonderful clients, many of whom became amazing friends.

I will miss it tremendously. It will forever remain a very important part of our lives and our story.

With love,
Jan

Twelve years ago, we opened our doors in Sag Harbor. Next week, we close them.

This wasn’t an easy decision, and it’s one we’ve sat with for a long time. Retail is changing, and so are we. We’re redirecting our energy toward the markets that are expanding for us, in the Hamptons, Palm Beach, Aspen, and New York, and toward a new concept built around an even more considered client experience.

We’ve written a longer letter about what these twelve years have meant to us, and what comes next. You’ll find it at the link in our bio.

Thank you for these twelve years.

With gratitude,
JAN & GEORGe

Currently obsessing over this moment by Maxalto

Soft, sculptural, and effortlessly refined—this is the kind of design that makes a room feel both elevated and completely livable.

For those who don’t know, Maxalto is the more classic, heritage-driven line by B&B Italia—rooted in timeless craftsmanship, rich materials, and a quieter, more understated luxury. It’s where modern meets tradition in the best way.

Safe to say… we’re always coming back to it and our client's love it!

Summer mornings at JANGEORGe ☀️

Soft light pouring in, doors open, coffee brewing… and little footsteps not far behind. It’s slow, simple, and full of life—those in-between moments spent at home with our daughter that inspire so much of what we design.

Spaces meant to be lived in, loved, and shared.

Modern Italian design that keeps us dreaming ✨

Soft linens, aged woods, and spaces that feel lived-in yet refined… like a never-ending European summer where time slows down and every detail just works.

If only we could stay here forever 🇮🇹

Palm Beach has quickly become one of our biggest sources of inspiration 🌴

We’ve recently opened an office here, and the design language is unlike anywhere else—bright, coastal, layered with color, and effortlessly elegant. It’s playful yet refined, and we love bringing that energy into the homes we design.

Excited for what’s to come here!

Bathroom inspiration we keep coming back to.

Minimal, warm, and quietly luxurious. This Tulum-inspired approach is all about natural materials, soft tones, and spaces that feel like a true escape. Effortless, calming, and designed to breathe.

Summer’s almost gone… and so are our best pieces!

Our Sag Harbor studio has been buzzing! Favorites are selling out fast and requests have doubled for these one-of-a-kind finds in our clients’ homes.

If something’s been on your mind, now’s the time. Come by the studio or inquire before it’s gone.

Calm summer scenes we can’t get enough of ☀️

Soft light, natural textures, and spaces that feel quiet and unhurried. It’s those simple moments—the ones that make a home feel like a true escape.

How are you spending the last few weeks of summer?

There’s nothing like switching to linen for the rest of the summer

Lightweight, breathable, and effortlessly relaxed, linen sheets just feel better this time of year. We’re especially loving pieces from Society Limonta, Once Milano, and Hale Mercantile for that perfect balance of softness and texture.

A simple swap that completely changes how your home feels.

Statement sofas we can’t keep in the studio this summer ☀️

The ones our clients keep asking for—soft, sculptural, and made to anchor the entire room while still feeling effortless and livable. From brands like Maxalto, B&B, Moroso and more!

If you’ve been thinking about a refresh, this is where we’d start. Explore our summer sofa collection through the link in bio. ✨
