Full bloom hands on her neck who lives her life just like the draw. . . . . .
. ‘Let every love live.’ It’s a line from Peter Handke that I often write at the end of my letters. When I trace this sentence quietly in my mind, a bird always comes to me—something free, something at ease. Take care, and let’s meet again on a good day. 🕊️ . . .
The mountain landscape. . Sometimes, people come to me asking what kind of tattoo would go well with the ones they already have. When that happens, I spend a long time thinking about how to make their existing tattoos look their best. “What if we tried something more organic, since you already have so many tattoos with distinct, rounded silhouettes? Something that might help the other little pieces floating around feel a little more at home on the body.” After a long conversation, we settled on a mountain landscape. Someone who made time for me during their only four days in Korea. So lovely to meet you, and thank you for coming. by @jangmi.ink
. Lately, the world keeps telling us to be louder, and for some reason, today, I’m tired of it. Pretending to be this or that. Trying to be cool, beautiful, desirable, whatever. Creating content, building a brand, all that stuff. But all I want to do is tattoo. Even after seven years of doing this, I still get a little nervous about who I’ll meet that day. I still find it fascinating when a client walks in and somehow looks just like one of my drawings. When someone says they’re hungry, I sneak them a chocolate bar or two. And when I’m drawing, trying to make something as beautiful as I possibly can, there are pieces I find myself hesitating to let go of. Maybe I should keep this one for myself… People just want to live like human beings. But the world keeps telling us to be faster, more perfect, more desirable. To become something others want. One of my favorite artists, @grina_mana shares little illustrated diary entries on her stories. Today, one of them said: “Hope you all spend plenty of time looking at the sky today.” She said someone had once told her that, too. So, did you look at the sky today? Did you notice the trees changing color? It got cold so suddenly that I rushed to the dry cleaner’s with all my winter clothes. Have you taken yours out yet? I hope you have plenty of days spent looking at the sky. And just in case, I’ll leave you with a few landscapes I’ve saved in my camera roll. by @jangmi.ink
. Tattooing the breath of the deep for someone whose name means one who connects the seas. The design was extended to wrap around the entire calf, embracing its natural shape. If you’ve found a tattoo you love but aren’t sure about the placement, size, or angle, feel free to come talk to me. I always take my time with the stencil placement to make sure the design looks its most beautiful on your body. . . . . .

. This is a work of texture and form that I cherish deeply. Living things, things that sway with life. Things that tremble, put forth leaves, shed them, endure the rain, and continue to live. If you love the soft and abundant feeling of autumn, choose a plant that spreads out generously. It will bring a sense of ease to your body for a long time. . . . . . #seoultattooist #naturetattoos #어깨타투 #추상타투 #식물타투 by @jangmi.ink
Do you ever worry that a tattoo might feel like too much when it’s somewhere too visible? Or wonder if you might grow tired of seeing it every day? For those who feel that way, one of my favorite placements to recommend is the lower abdomen, extending toward the upper thigh. It’s a part of the body you don’t often see yourself, and others don’t either. But every now and then, when you catch a glimpse of it in the mirror after a shower, or while spending time by the sea, it can look so beautiful. The weather is lovely, and it’s the perfect season for a walk. Why not come by for a tattoo, like taking a little stroll? It’s also the perfect season for a tattoo to heal beautifully. 🍁 by @jangmi.ink

. Have you ever imagined the sound of the deep sea breathing? A vast, quiet hum, holding countless lives within it. A rhythm of ripples you can feel through your body as you float on the water. When I want to escape, I go to the sea. It comforts me to imagine this deep, mysterious ocean—still largely unknown to us—quietly holding everything beneath it: every drifting thing, every pulse, every glimmer, and the endless darkness. It makes my mind a little quieter. A little more at ease. I made this piece hoping to carry some of that feeling.
