Hello my friends!
I wanted to introduce you to a new French designer who is a fellow shop owner and friend of mine here in France. Her design name is De Mère en Fille. She has a lovely style and I am so excited to introduce her to the American stitching community! Her designs are now available at Hoffman, so if you like what you see here, let your favorite shop know what you want and they can easily get them for you! Home…and it feels so good! Driving back and forth across France was amazing! What a beautiful country this is. But it’s so good to be home!
This project was my car project - a model for the shop - Hydrangea Pot by @wonderlandcrafts.global . This type of kit is perfect for travel, a neat little package with everything you need (except scissors!) Easy to see and not a lot of fabric for a certain kitty to lay on! by @janhickscreates

Our weekend in Basel is over. What a wonderful place, made even more special by @stitchbasel It was a weekend full of beautiful people and beautiful stitching. It was so wonderful to meet new stitchers from Europe and spend time with @tabbycathanddyedlinen @cross_stitch_couture and @sophiestitchingcorner again! Thanks to everyone who shopped at my little table and thanks to @frostyxstitch for answering all of my many questions! by @janhickscreates

We have traveled across France on our vacation, stopping and seeing some amazing places on the way. We stopped in Sarlat-la-Canéda, spent a day visiting chateaux on the Dordogne, marveled at the tapestries in Aubusson and walked the very walkable streets of Dijon, enjoying some wonderful food while here. Tomorrow, we head to Basel for @stitchbasel !  Or course, I’ve taken so many photos. Here are just a few! by @janhickscreates

As many of you know, one of my favorite things to do is to travel on roads I haven’t been on before. This month will be filled with this experience, as we travel across France to Basel, Switzerland for @stitchbasel . Our first stop is Saint Nazaire, on the western coast of France. We are here for to visit the Submarine museum. Of course, our baby girl Nina is with us! by @janhickscreates

A big announcement! I am so pleased to announce that Jacob de Graaf of @modernfolkembroidery will be coming to Josselin for a retreat in September 2027. We don’t have all of the details set up yet, so be sure to follow me here and sign up for my newsletter to stay on top of all of the latest news. I can promise you that any time spent with Jacob is worthwhile. Pair that with time spent in a gorgeous French town in the fall, and it becomes perfection!
