Ich dachte ich stelle mich noch einmal vor, weil jeden Tag neue Gesichter dazu kommen und mich wahrscheinlich gar nicht kennen 😅🥰
Und wer bist du? Ich interessiere mich ja immer total wer ihr seid und wie ihr hier gelandet seid 🤗🥰

🇬🇧 Hello, this is me!
I thought I need to introduce myself because there is new people joining here every day! 😅🥰
First slide:
- I’m 27 years old
- half German/half Bosnian
- married to a Namibian
- got a Bachelors degree in Architecture 🏛️
- don’t like coffee
- favourite food: Burger 🍔
- moved almost three years ago to Namibia 🇳🇦
- got a younger sister
- would like to travel to New York one day
- I’ve got three dogs: Pepper, Duplo and Olive

Second slide:
- we swiped right on tinder in the beginning of 2018 💞
- he is born and raised in Namibia
- we speak English to one another
- 5 months after the first message I went to visit him for the first time ✈️
- we “only” visited each other 10 times before I moved abroad 📦
- currently our biggest dream is to open a Lodge 🦒🦓
- he tells the (un)funniest dad jokes in the world which we still laugh about days later 😂

Third slide:
- landed in Namibia for the first time on 11th January 2018
- I love the happiness that the people give off ☀️
- love the ocean 🌊
- favourite place in Namibia: Damaraland & Spitzkoppe
- I never want to leave again 💞
- we live to go camping, the sunsets and the stars are out of this world 🌍
- there is nothing better than a Namibian sunrise or sunset! 🌅
- a savanna for sundowner is a must 😅🍹

Unsere neue campsite 🏕️ ist fertig 😍
Würdest du hier auch campen wollen? Als Nächstes kommt noch Gras und wir bauen tatsächlich noch weitere Campsites, aber das wird erst im neuen Jahr passieren! 🤗

Would you like to camp here? We will plant some grass next and we will build even more campsites but only from next year on 🤗

Es war schon wieder länger still 🤫
Aber Ende Juni hat sich jemand, ein klein bisschen früher als geplant auf den Weg gemacht 🤍 seitdem genießen wir die Zeit zusammen und saugen jeden kleinen Moment auf 😍❤️

🇬🇧It’s been quiet for a while now 🤫
But at the end of June, someone joined us a little earlier than planned 🤍 Since then, we’ve been enjoying our time together and soaking up every little moment 😍❤️ taken in Namibia by @janine.in.namibia

Ein schnelles Update von Oktober letzten Jahres bis jetzt im März 🥰
Gegen Ende des Jahres ist nicht ganz so viel passiert, aber seit Januar sieht man jeden Tag Neue Fortschritte und wir freuen uns so sehr 😍
Bleibt dran für die nächsten Updates und bis bald 🤍🥰

Towards the end of the year everything slowed down a bit burnside January you can see improvements day for day and we are so excited!😍

🌪️ Und auf einmal liegt das Dach einfach am Boden.
Kurz vorher ist ein Wirbelwind mit so einer Kraft durchgefegt, dass das Dach nicht mehr gehalten hat.
Fairerweise: Die Bauarbeiter hatten es wohl auch nicht wirklich gut befestigt 🙄
Damit bisher ganz klar unser größter (und teuerster) Baufail 🚧
Inzwischen ist alles ersetzt, richtig befestigt und alle Öffnungen sind geschlossen.
Jetzt bitte Daumen drücken, dass es nicht nochmal passiert 🤞😁

🇬🇧🌪️ And suddenly the roof is just lying on the ground.

Just moments before, a whirlwind with such force swept through that the roof couldn’t hold up.

To be fair, the construction workers probably hadn’t secured it very well either 🙄
So far, clearly our biggest (and most expensive) construction fail 🚧
Everything has been replaced, properly secured, and all openings are closed.

Now please keep your fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen again 🤞😁

🇩🇪Im April haben wir diese alte Gästefarm übernommen – ohne zu wissen, dass wir bald Expert:innen für jegliche Baumaterialien, Mitarbeiter und Geduld werden 😅
Jetzt stehen hier schon einige Zimmer, Bungalows, ein Pool und eine Menge Träume.

🦓 Warst du schon einmal in Namibia oder träumst du von einem Namibia Urlaub?

🇬🇧 Back in April, we took over this old guest farm – with zero idea we’d soon become experts in the building process, employees and patience 😅
Now there are rooms, bungalows, a pool, and a whole lot of dreams taking shape.

Was für eine Woche! Wir sind umgezogen, haben schon im (Vorübergehenden) neuen Zuhause fast fertig ausgepackt und fühlen uns schon richtig wohl hier. Endlich sind wir hier, das ist noch einmal ein ganz neues Gefühl von Neuanfang und ein Start in unser großes Abenteuer Lodge 🇳🇦🥰

What a week! We’ve moved, are almost finished unpacking in our (temporary) new home, and are already feeling really comfortable here. We’re finally here, and it’s a whole new feeling of a fresh start and the start of our great Lodge adventure 🇳🇦🥰

Burn, baby burn 🔥

Was für ein Erlebnis wieder ❤️🔥
2025 war ganz anders als letztes Mal, aber mindestens genauso schön. Wir werden immer wieder zurück nach Hause kommen 🫶🏻

Ich habe am Wochenende mal mit gefilmt. Letzte Woche waren wir schon einmal für zwei ganze Tage dort, aber alles war noch so neu, ich musste das erst einmal verarbeiten.
Jetzt steigt die Vorfreude, wir fangen ganz bald mit der Renovierung an und ziehen dann hoffentlich ganz schnell hier ein ❤️🇳🇦
Was denkt ihr? Ich hoffe wir können diese wunderschöne Türe im Wohnzimmer aufarbeiten und behalten 😍

I took you along this past weekend. We already received the keys the previous week and spent a full weekend here. But everything was so new that I was a bit overwhelmed and couldn’t really film along. Now we are getting super excited as we are starting renovations soon and then also move in here (hopefully) very soon! ❤️🇳🇦
What do you think? I love this wooden double door in the living room and hope we can refurbish it and keep it there 😍
