ARRI Artemis 2 Steadicam

ARRI TRINITY 2 Pan Axis Module
The modular pan axis design has the same shape as the TRINITY head, enabling easy mounting. Switching between body-mounted operation of the stabilizer and hard-mounted remote head mode with the Pan Axis Module is simple and can be achieved on set in under five minutes, which allows for spontaneous creative decisions without affecting the shooting schedule, too much. Camera builds can be left in the TRINITY 2 head when making these changeovers, so no time needs to be spent rebalancing or wireing the Camera/Lens Rig in a third party gimbal or remote head.

When used as a three-axis remote head, the TRINITY 2 has a formidable 25 kg / 55 lb. payload capacity. Camera and lens combinations that are physically long are easily accommodated due to the concentric ring design, allowing for simple builds, often without counterweights. All features of the TRINITY 2 head, such as flexible connectivity, Camera Stabilizer System (CSS) accessory compatibility, mounting points, and tilt lock are retained. The compact Pan Axis Module turns TRINITY 2 into a three-axis stabilized head that is smaller than most others, making it a great solution for space-constrained setups such as inside a car or mounted to a motorcycle.

The software allows precise control via digital wheels, joystick, or digital encoder head – and even pre-programmed camera moves. I started with the ARRI TRINITY One in 2017 after Curt Schaller @curto.schaller introduced me to the seemingly impossible camera moves.

ARRI TRINITY 2 Setup
Elegantly combining mechanical and electronic stabilization, the hybrid TRINITY 2 sets a new high standard for body-mounted stabilization with seemingly impossible camera moves. Second-generation benefits include enhanced monitoring, rigging, and LBUS connectivity, as well as powerful control interfaces and easy on-the-fly adjustments.

The software allows precise control and even pre-programmed camera moves via the Mastergrip Joystick on the Gimbal Handle. If needed the Tilt and Roll Control can be shared wireless via DRW-1 digital wheels or FoMa joystick.

@curto.schaller - Curt Schaller introduced me to the world of five‑axis stabilized Steadicam systems. He was always available for technical exchange and troubleshooting especially, when the first Trinity had its so‑called teething problems. Curt is always pushing for more and listens to operators and manufacturers all over the world – today I’m glad to call him a friend.
