My Mother’s Day dinner was inspired by Matisse as the muse suggested by @parisdiningclub and plates made by @eastforkpottery who is the great grandson of Matisse himself, and of course my creative and loving daughters Keeley and @caitlinleemccarthy. Being together with my family, cooking together, creating together, laughing and talking together made for the most magical day. We planned our dinner around everything French!French baguette, salt and French butter, French green beans, French onion soup, radishes and butter, flank steak and au poivre sauce, french fries ( duh! ) French carrot salad, quiche lorraine, cherries, brie, goat cheese, French orange wine, Sancerre, simple salad, and pizza dough shaped like an artist palette topped with a variety of hummus and crème brûlée for dessert. We wore blue or french inspired clothing and hats and had lots of flowers and music by Pink MartiniWe each shared an interesting fact about Matisse and then made blue cutouts to create our version of his art! Everything was sublime and the day was filled with love throughout! 🩷🩷🩷 by @janmccarthy

Most women don’t know their hearts may be broken until it’s too late. During heart health month, I want to raise awareness about heart disease in women because it is not only the #1 killer of women but it can also be mended or prevented if caught in time.
