International Watercolour Masters 2026 closed with the final live demonstration of Day 10 by Jan Min from the Netherlands.

A passionate traveller and observer of light, Jan painted a sunset scene from a photograph he captured himself.

The painting shows a warm golden sky, boats resting on shallow water, a solitary figure, soft reflections and the calm atmosphere of the day fading into evening.

With delicate washes, subtle colour transitions and a beautiful sense of light, Jan brought a peaceful and poetic ending to ten unforgettable days of watercolour at IWM 2026.

Some moments pass in a breath: the light on a harbor at dusk, a quiet street after rain, a view you only saw once. Photographs keep the details. A painting can keep the feeling. 🌅
ㅤ
A Moment Held: Watercolor Masterclass on Light, Simplicity & Soul with Jan Min is a four-week live course on turning the moments that move you into art that lasts.
ㅤ
Jan's approach is about memory as much as technique. We rarely remember a scene in perfect detail. We remember the glow, the stillness, the mood. That's what Jan teaches you to paint. Remove what doesn't matter, trust what remains, and let the feeling carry the work. Mood before detail, light before form, feeling before accuracy.
ㅤ
Across four weeks, you'll paint alongside @janmin240 in live sessions, learning to simplify a scene down to its heart, build luminous light, and compose with intention. Along the way, you'll choose a reference that means something to you: a place you've been, a view you can't forget, a moment you want to keep. In the final week, you'll turn it into your own original painting and receive personalized feedback from Jan himself.
ㅤ
You'll come away with more than a finished painting. You'll have a new way of seeing, and the skill to hold onto the moments that matter, long after they've passed. What moment would you paint? 🎨
